On your notifications, I see you can set the placeholder for an approval link, so the employee can click and approve a pending appointment. Does that link need to be input somewhere or will it take the employee to the portal? How does that work exactly?
Thanks for reaching out to us. That's correct, there are two new placeholders (links) that you can add to the notifications template. These placeholders are just like the other, so the best option is to put them in the notification template "appointment pending". When a customer books an appointment, assuming that the default appointment status is set to "pending", your employee will receive an email with the approval or cancellation link. By simply clicking on it, he can speed up the process of booking confirmation. It won't be taken to the employee portal, an employee will just see the message if the action is confirmed.
I apologize for the delay. I was actually thinking I would like to use this for the employee, so they get the notification when they get a pending appointment and can click the link to approve. When I did the test for this, the link didn't lead anywhere. I'm not sure if this is because it was a test or if I need to do something else to make sure this link works.
There is this placeholder "appointment approval URL" in the Notifications settings / Employee tab.
If you put this placeholder in the template and an employee clicks on it, the appointment should be approved. Of course, it makes sense to change the default appointment status to "pending".
