Firstly, I would like to sincerely apologize for the delayed response as we have been experiencing an unusually high number of tickets. I am sorry that it has taken longer than usual to respond to your concern and your patience is highly appreciated.
At the moment, our tables are not searchable by WP global search by default.
There is just one user who said he found a workaround, here is what he told us :
I found searchwp to be the most helpful solutions to search and index shortcode tables including wpdatatables. very useful. fyi here's the plugin incase someone is searching for that: https://searchwp.com/
Thanks for the answer Milos, what a pity that the contents of the tables can not be found by the default search engine of Wordpress. On the other hand, regarding that plugin, have you tried it?
I completely understand, but unfortunately, at the moment it is still not possible to achieve our table's data being searchable by the default WP Search Engine.
We plan to work on it in the future since there were several other users requesting this, but I can't say an ETA on it.
If you wish to affect the development speed, you can add a development suggestion as a user.
to see if someone may be already suggested this feature. If you can't see it, feel free to add your suggestion there, and as more people vote, the feature will move higher on the priority list.
You can certainly follow our changeLog page if you'd like ( it is also available in the plugin dashboard), where we state any changes/new features/bug fixes during updates;
and our newsletter, so you're informed about new features, bug fixes, freebies, etc.
For now, I only had one user who mentioned that he managed to make a custom solution using that Plugin SearchWP;
but we are not able to guarantee if it works, we did not have the chance to fully test it yet.
And just to mention, that is considered as a custom solution, which is not covered by our Support.
