I have setup a party booking event. If people phone to add people to the booking then the admin should be able to login backend and add in extra tickets to the event. I have this working. Then when adding tickets it asks if I want to create a payment link, this also works as when you visit customer panel I can see the pay now button and it correctly calculates the difference due and the person can pay via Stripe. Fantastic. However it sends no notifications of the modifications to the customer email. I noticed I had the notification disabled for event changes so I activated it but still no emails send for event attendee changes.
The Ask:
Can you advise me how to set up email notification so that the customer gets an email with payment link when the admin add in people to the backend event booking?
Thanks for reaching out to us. Well, there isn't any specific configuration needed. As you already noticed, there are appointments for services and events. In your case, you want to make that the "event details changed" template is turned on. Every time when details are changed, an email will be sent with new information.
Also, make sure that the SMTP protocol is configured for email settings. This is the most convenient and proven way of sending the emails with Amelia, since emails that are sent with PHP or mailgun are usually flagged as spam and it takes more time to be sent.
I have set up the specific reply as an email notification and I have included the Payment link in the email. However teh email does not sent when I add new attendees to an event. It only sends and email when the date or time or description of an event changes and it goes to all people signed up for the event. This is not what I want. What I want is for an email to send when I manually add a new attendee to an event, in this case the tickets are prices Child €20, Adult €6. I want it to send an email automatically to the customer when the new attendees are added to an event.
Unfortunately, there is currently no such option with Amelia's built-in features.
