For the email notifications, you want to make sure that you are using SMTP procotol. This is the proven and tested method of sending emails and we also recommend it. On this link you can find more information on how to configure it.
Regarding the Google Calendar configuration, you want to make sure that the employee is connected to the Google Calendar. After the initial configuration, in employee settings, you will a button to connect the employee to Google Calendar. You also want to make sure that the " maximum number of events returned" is increased in Google Calendar settings.
This will increase the number of events displayed on the Google Calendar. Please let me know if it works after you check.
Hi, SMTP protocol is being used. I want to clarify that most of the time, email notifications are being sent and the google calendar is syncing correctly. However, yesterday there were a number of customers who booked appointments and received no email notification.
I noticed that the appointment showed up in the wordpress/amelia plugin, and when I clicked edit on the appointment and then saved it (without any changes), it then synced to google calendar / sent out email notifications.
I increased the maximum number of events returned to 200 but not sure if that will do anything. This enables more events to be created on the employee's calendar?
In theory, yes. Increasing this number should in seeing more appointments/events on the Google Calendar. But, if the STMP procotol is already used, and the employee is already connected to the Google Calendar, it's hard to replicate the use case if "sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, especially if the configuration is correct. So, once connected to a Google Calendar, all new appointments will be added to the calendar. This does not work retroactively, so if the connection is established after the employee already has a number of previously booked appointments, they will not be added to Google Calendar automatically. Simply editing and saving the appointment (without making any changes) will rectify this and store the appointment in Google Calendar.
Customers are not receiving email notifications after booking appointments and it is not syncing with google calendar.
Please help fix this bug

It seems to work for most users, but then several users will report not receiving emails and not syncing with google calendar.
I believe this issue has been reported before as a ticket.
