Hey there, Awesome Customers!
Just a heads up: We'll be taking a breather to celebrate International Workers' Day (May 1st and 2nd - Wednesday and Thursday) and Orthodox Easter from Good Friday (May 3rd) through Easter Monday (May 6th). So, from May 1st to May 6th, our team will be off enjoying some well-deserved downtime.
During this time, our customer support will be running on a smaller crew, but don't worry! We'll still be around to help with any urgent matters, though it might take us a bit longer than usual to get back to you.
We'll be back in action at full throttle on May 7th (Tuesday), ready to tackle your questions and requests with gusto!
In the meantime, you can explore our documentation for Amelia and wpDataTables. You'll find loads of helpful resources, including articles and handy video tutorials on YouTube (Amelia's YouTube Channel and wpDataTables' YouTube Channel). These gems might just have the answers you're looking for while we're kicking back.
Thanks a bunch for your understanding and support!
Catch you on the flip side!
Warm regards,
TMS
Hello,
I would like some help customizing the ways events are showcased on a page.
Ideally this is what I am looking to achieve. PFA events-01.png.
And I have simply managed to reach here: https://club.anisierra.me/test/. Seems like miles away.
I would really appreciate some help on this please.
Thanks so much
Looking forward
Ani

Hello Ani,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
Unfortunately, there is currently no such option with Amelia's built-in features. You can suggest that feature on the following link: https://features.wpamelia.com/
We carefully follow suggestions from our customers and the more votes the feature gets, the more priority we put on implementing that feature in one of the future updates.
Kind Regards,

I guessed so. Seems like the plugin is still in its infancy.
Thanks though.

Thank you for your feedback.
I will have this passed to our management as as suggestion and I hope that it will be implemented in the future.

Sure, Why not!
So as I'm going to achieve the desired look with the help of CSS, I am just falling short of some variables to show.
For example, your latest shortcode which you can see here do not have any mention of location. You do have that in the second shortcode but then that does not have the image.
So, help me with a way, wherein in the first shortcode, we are able to display the event location as well.
Looking forward for a positive feedback
Ani
Hello,
Seems like I found it. So don't bother.
But here is another:
How do we only show the 3 latest events in the following shortcode.
[ameliaeventslistbooking ]

Ani
Hello,
Another one.
I would need a way to show the description on the event list as well.
Currently it just shows up in the pop only.

Ani
Hello,
Another one.
Is there a way to categorize events? From where can I do that?
Looking forward

Hey Bud,
Don't you think it would have been nice to study the market before you endeavoured to make this plugin?
I mean we are just wasting each other's time here it seems.
And stop writing/pasting "Please let me if you have any other questions." Unfortunately, you do not seem to have any answers.
I mean, why would we not have categories for events? And what if I only need to showcase some events on some pages and some events on others? This never came across the authors?
I suggest you escalate my ticket to tier 4 or tier 5 please.
Looking forward
Ani

I wanted to contribute to the discussion.
While it’s not the most flexible method, you can categorize events using tags. By assigning tags to your events, you can then employ shortcodes to filter these tags, allowing for calendars and lists that display specific events. I use that to display certain events on their respective pages.
Regarding showing only the latest three events, you can limit the display to three events in the settings. However, this setting will apply universally across all lists you manage so it's not optimal. It would be much better if we could set it directly in the event list block or shortcode.
I agree that there's significant room for improvement in managing events with Amelia.
Hello,
Thanks, Gerhard for such insights. I will get these experiments done.
On another note, @Uroš , I have another request and hopefully, it's not a "No" this time.
I want to trigger this popup manually.
To elaborate more, I would need a link which I can give to any button or text which would trigger this popup with the service pre-selected.
I understand you have "Pre-select URL parameters for Amelia shortcodes". I hope that should come handy. But not sure how.
Requesting assistance please.
P.S I want to trigger the popup with a service already preselected.
Thank you
