Hey there, Awesome Customers!
Just a heads up: We'll be taking a breather to celebrate International Workers' Day (May 1st and 2nd - Wednesday and Thursday) and Orthodox Easter from Good Friday (May 3rd) through Easter Monday (May 6th). So, from May 1st to May 6th, our team will be off enjoying some well-deserved downtime.
During this time, our customer support will be running on a smaller crew, but don't worry! We'll still be around to help with any urgent matters, though it might take us a bit longer than usual to get back to you.
We'll be back in action at full throttle on May 7th (Tuesday), ready to tackle your questions and requests with gusto!
In the meantime, you can explore our documentation for Amelia and wpDataTables. You'll find loads of helpful resources, including articles and handy video tutorials on YouTube (Amelia's YouTube Channel and wpDataTables' YouTube Channel). These gems might just have the answers you're looking for while we're kicking back.
Thanks a bunch for your understanding and support!
Catch you on the flip side!
Warm regards,
TMS
Hi there
is there a way to delete unused event-tags? I already deleted them in the database table, but they still show up in front-end and back-end.
Thank you!
Sascha
Hello there,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
One way ( the user-friendly way) to delete Event Tags directly through Amelia,
can be to manually go into each Event and simply delete all the tags there.
But there can be a way through the WordPress database, if you know your way around Database Management Tools, such as PHPMyAdmin.
Here is an example, we just tried this and it worked in our Test Website;
but we still advise caution, just to be safe, it is best to make a site backup before doing this.
Here is how we did it - we got this Event Tag as "sports".
In the PHPMyAdmin, find this table named "wp_amelia_events_tags".
Please note, that the 'wp_' table prefix is the default WP Prefix - on your site, it can be different.
Now, find any rows in this table and simply delete the Tags you don't need.
Then the deleted tag(s) won't appear anymore in your Events.
Should you have any further inquiries, we kindly request that you open separate tickets for each question and we will gladly help you there.
We wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day ahead.
Kind Regards,

I am trying to do the same. I have not tried yet but what if I have thousands of past events with tags attached to them? Would I have to go into each of these events and delete the tags?
Hello there,
When you have a question please open your own ticket so that we do not disturb other users since they will get each of our replies.
As for this if you delete it in Amelia you will need to remove it for each events separately but if you delete it from the data base then you should be able to remove this tag completely for all events. At this time these are only to option that we have. Hopefully this helps.
Should you have any further inquiries, we kindly request that you open your own separate tickets for each question and we will gladly help you there.
We wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day ahead.
