Hey there, Awesome Customers!

Just a heads up: We'll be taking a breather to celebrate International Workers' Day (May 1st and 2nd - Wednesday and Thursday) and Orthodox Easter from Good Friday (May 3rd) through Easter Monday (May 6th). So, from May 1st to May 6th, our team will be off enjoying some well-deserved downtime.

During this time, our customer support will be running on a smaller crew, but don't worry! We'll still be around to help with any urgent matters, though it might take us a bit longer than usual to get back to you.

We'll be back in action at full throttle on May 7th (Tuesday), ready to tackle your questions and requests with gusto!

In the meantime, you can explore our documentation for Amelia and wpDataTables. You'll find loads of helpful resources, including articles and handy video tutorials on YouTube (Amelia's YouTube Channel and wpDataTables' YouTube Channel). These gems might just have the answers you're looking for while we're kicking back.

Thanks a bunch for your understanding and support!

Catch you on the flip side!

Warm regards,

TMS

    Hi TMS team,

    There's some untranslatable areas in the Amelia. Here's the list;

    • Page titles can't translatable to different languages in the WP-Admin pages. It's always stays in English.
    • ¨No Appointments Found¨ etc. untranslatable in the Customer Panel 2.0
    • Email, WhatsApp and SMS texts untranslatable. It should be translatable because I need to change these texts after every single new installation.
    • Months stays in English in the Customer Panel 2.0 on the top calendar filter.
    • The word ¨save¨ in the Step by Step Appointment and the word ¨save¨ in the settings use the same source. However, their meanings are different. It causes problem in other languages.

    Hello there,

I'm afraid that we didn't quite get what you want to achieve and what and where you want to translate exactly? Can you explain to us in a little more detail, and send us a couple of screenshots?

Some of these possibly can be translated and some can not but to know more we would need couple of screenshots.

We wish you all the best.

    Kind Regards,

Page titles untranslatable. As you can see in the ss, I translated "Calendar" as "Takvim" but page title didn't changed.

It should be "Kaydet" in the admin panel settings but the it's impossible because it uses same source.

    Hello there,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

    1. Page titles untranslatable. As you can see in the ss, I translated "Calendar" as "Takvim" but page title didn't change. -

    2. The word ¨save¨ in the Step by Step Appointment and the word ¨save¨ in the settings use the same source. However, their meanings are different. It causes problem in other languages.
It should be "Kaydet" in the admin panel settings but the it's impossible because it uses same source. - You can change this in customize section

    3. ¨No Appointments Found¨ etc. untranslatable in the Customer Panel 2.0 and Months stays in English in the Customer Panel 2.0 on the top calendar filter. - This can not be translated at this time in the booking form but perhaps it can be translated with Poedit.

Words can be changed using POEDIT very easily.

If you want to use POEDIT then this is an instruction:

    1. Download the Amelia plugin from CodeCanyon and save the .zip file on your computer.

    2. Unzip the downloaded .zip file.

    3. You need to download and install POEDIT

    4. After that open the program and open the file from the extracted folder on your computer ameliabooking/languages/fr_FR/wpamelia-fr_FR.po.

    5. Translate all the strings that are not translated

    6. Save the translation.

    7. Go to ameliabooking/languages/fr_FR/ folder and copy these two files called wpamelia-fr_FR.po and wpamelia-fr_FR.mo back to your website in the location ../wp-content/plugins/ameliabooking/languages/fr_FR/.

This is an example of the French language, but you will choose yours.

As for the data for now this does not change we will forward this tour developers so that they can check if this can be changed in the future.

    4.  "Services" word untranslatable in employee panel. - Soon we will implement new employee panel so hopefully thiswil be possible to change there

    5. I think I don't need to explain this. Email, WhatsApp and SMS texts untranslatable. It should be translatable because I need to change these texts after every single new installation. - They can not be translated automatically you need to translate them manually.

When you have several suggestions or issues please open a new ticket, and we will help you there. In that way, issues and questions which are related to different subjects will be in separate tickets so other customers or our support agents can find them easily.

Our policy is to have one issue or question per ticket because of the reasons that are described already.

    Thank you for understanding.

Should you have any further inquiries, we kindly request that you open separate tickets for each question and we will gladly help you there.

We wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day ahead.

Answer to second: This negatively affects the business process. Doing this every time creates unnecessary workload. I implore you again to resolve this.

Answer to third: I'm using Loco Translate but it can't detect those strings. I will try POEdit.

    Hello again,

With all due respect, we do not have anything to resolve. You have the possibility  to set this as you wish so you can change this and save those changes in the customize section and that is it.

We do not have translators in our company, so all translated languages Amelia has have been translated by our customers and not all strings can be translated but most of them can be changed with Poedit.

In light of this, we encourage you to kindly consider submitting this valuable suggestion as a feature request through the following link: https://features.wpamelia.com/. The prioritization of feature development is greatly influenced by the number of customer requests received. By participating and expressing your support, you contribute significantly to the potential expedited implementation of this feature.

Should you have any further inquiries, we kindly request that you open separate tickets for each question and we will gladly help you there.

We wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day ahead.

    Hi again Marko,

I think you didn't understand the situation. These two usage of "Save" word has different meanings. One of them means "Saving the settings, page etc." the other one is "saving price & discount". This is not specially necessery for Turkish, it may effects the other languages. If you want Amelia to be compatible with multiple languages you need to be collaborative in solving SMALL problems like this. Otherwise, you will only make the process more difficult for volunteer translators and users.

    Hello again Tolga,

Thank you for your suggestion, I am afraid that we do not quite understand the issue since you have the possibility to change these buttons as you wish in customize section but if you find any inconsistencies with the translation, please feel free to correct them using POEdit, open a ticket and send us the corrected translation, so we can add it to the plugin.

We wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day ahead.

We are back to square one again. I thought, I was clearly explain the situation. The ¨save¨ word uses has different meanings in English, right? In the different languages this causes a problem. If a word has multiple meanings like the ¨save¨ word, you should use different sources like all the other extensions. So, volunteer translators (like me) can translate strings what it should be.

Your solution useless because it requires a modification every single new setup. The team just need add a new ¨save¨ string for ¨saving money¨ and ¨saving settings¨.

For example in Turkish, the ¨yüz¨ word has 3 different meanings.
    1. Face
    2. 100 number
    3. Swimming
So, Turk developers can't use single string for ¨Yüz¨ word for different places because it has different meanings.

I'm translating many WordPress extensions and contributing some open-source projects and never faced like this.

    Hello again Tolga,

We have forwarded this to our developers and this would need to be recreated and hopefully, this will be possible to change in the near future. If you are creating a translation to the Turkish language if you wish you can send us a translation (as best as it can be translated at this time) so that we can implement in in Amelia.

    Kind regards.

    Hi again Marko,
Thank you forwarded this.  It's actually MUST be but I understand. I'm already sharing translations under #3557184 with Uros. I wish there was a way where I could access the lines of the new version early. With this, whenever a new version is published, it could be 100% Turkish compatible.
