Hey there, Awesome Customers!

Just a heads up: We'll be taking a breather to celebrate International Workers' Day (May 1st and 2nd - Wednesday and Thursday) and Orthodox Easter from Good Friday (May 3rd) through Easter Monday (May 6th). So, from May 1st to May 6th, our team will be off enjoying some well-deserved downtime.

During this time, our customer support will be running on a smaller crew, but don't worry! We'll still be around to help with any urgent matters, though it might take us a bit longer than usual to get back to you.

We'll be back in action at full throttle on May 7th (Tuesday), ready to tackle your questions and requests with gusto!

In the meantime, you can explore our documentation for Amelia and wpDataTables. You'll find loads of helpful resources, including articles and handy video tutorials on YouTube (Amelia's YouTube Channel and wpDataTables' YouTube Channel). These gems might just have the answers you're looking for while we're kicking back.

Thanks a bunch for your understanding and support!

Catch you on the flip side!

Warm regards,

TMS

    Hello,

I set a service (a Pilates Class) to allow 2 folks to sign up. The Maximum Capacity is set to 2 under Duration & Pricing.

But right now, the hours in the week that one client has signed up for that class is not showing on the Amelia booking widget calendar to allow a second person to also sign up.

So I'm loosing out on revenue by running a 2 person class with only 1 person max.

I've fiddled with the service to figure out why if only 1/2 spots is taken, the hour is not showing up for booking.

    Can you help me?

    Thanks,

    Kav

    Hi!

Just a quick addition. I see Events allow 2 people to sign up. However, I (maybe too honestly) don't like the interface and the required payment method.

    MORE WORK FOR CLIENTS

I'd like clients to be able to buy a package of classes and sign up for a spot in a 2 person class just as they would with a service with a 1 person capacity. This would be so much more convenient to clients. Paying for, for example, a package of five 2-person classes at once, then signing up. This is the norm across Pilates Studios.

However, the events interface appears to require that they sign up for one event at a time. Is this the case? They should be able to sign up to many 2-person capacity classes at once using a package. This will help them commit to their 2-person classes.

    MORE COSTLY FOR ME

In addition, it saves me money and gives me security that they can pay a deposit on a package, and then e-transfer the rest. With the single event sign up, it will be quite a lot of work to manage deposits via stripe and e-transfers for each class after. I would instead need to eliminate the deposit option to reduce the cognitive load of the clients and myself of handling 2 payments for a single event for a single participant, and I'll have to pay the stripe fee for each attendee in each class booked.

    BAD DATA COLLECTION

I also would like clients to choose the time they'd like their 2-person classes to be, and to sign up to existing 2-person classes created by another person. If I need to choose the class time and dates, I will be basing class times on my assumptions and not real client needs.

Quick note, that in the payment section at the end of the events page, the word Stripe is cut in two on my iPhone 14. Please update the formatting.

Can you help me? Is it in the works to create 2-person services?

    Kind regards,

    Kav

    Hello there,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

When you have several questions or issues please open a new ticket, and we will help you there. In that way, issues and questions which are related to different subjects will be in separate tickets so other customers or our support agents can find them easily.

    -

Our policy is to have one issue or question per ticket because of the reasons that are described already.

    -

    Thank you for understanding.

- When you offer group classes you need to enable the option "Allow booking below minimum capacity" in Amelia/settings/appointment settings. When this is enabled, multiple customers will be able to book the same time slot, without having to fill in the minimum capacity.

    2. Just a quick addition. I see Events allow 2 people to sign up. However, I (maybe too honestly) don't like the interface and the required payment method.  - You do not have to use events for group booking you can do it with services

Is this the case? They should be able to sign up to many 2-person capacity classes at once using a package. This will help them commit to their 2-person classes. - You can create and sell packages you can read more about it on this link https://wpamelia.com/packages/ packages are for services not for events and you do not need to use events for group bookings you can set it properly with our guidance in reply for 1 question

- Not sure why you are mentioning events. Events must be booked separately but as we mentioned you do not need to use them for group bookings and classes

    5. BAD DATA COLLECTION

I also would like clients to choose the time they'd like their 2-person classes to be, and to sign up to existing 2-person classes created by another person. If I need to choose the class time and dates, I will be basing class times on my assumptions and not real client needs. - You need to create your work hours and then a clients can choose one of the offered time slots.

The availability of the service is defined by employees' working hours, so you would need to edit those in order to achieve this.

When you go to Amelia/Employees, and select that employee, go to the Work Hours tab. In there create several working periods. For example:

    2856665082.png

My employee would work on "Service 1" and "Service 2" from 08:00 - 10:30, on "Second" service from 10:30 - 15:30, and then again on "Service 1" and "Service 2" from 15:30 - 24:00.

You'd be adding these periods by clicking on the blue + sign next to the name of the day, in the top right.

    6. Quick note, that in the payment section at the end of the events page, the word Stripe is cut in two on my iPhone 14. Please update the formatting. - We can not replicate this issue please tell us which device is in question and send us few screenshots of the issues

    7. Can you help me? Is it in the works to create 2-person services? - Yes, of course, you can use Amelia for group services we have explained this in 1 question.

We wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day ahead.

    Hi Marko!

I will give this a try today.

Note, in my mind this is the big issue:

HAVING MULTIPLE CLIENTS SIGN UP INDEPENDENTLY FOR THE SAME SERVICE TIME AND BUYING THAT SERVICE AS PART OF A PACKAGE.

Glad you say that’s actually possible!  I thought after fiddling around that it would only be possible through events.

I had the maximum capacity set to 2 but did not change the minimum capacity to create a minimum # and allow below minimum.

Logically, I’m not sure why not creating a minimum capacity would block a second sign up and only allow one sign up. Could you explain the logic to me?

For the Stripe formatting, I mentioned it was an iPhone 14 but I understand it got lost in the longer than usual text. I’ll create another ticket for that later then with an attachment!

    Hello again,

Please try it out and let us know how it goes.

We have implemented quite a few option based on large number of requests from our users.

So we have option to allow booking above the maximum I would never personally use this but quite a few user want this option. Same goes for minimum capacity option. Some only want to offer services to families, some does not want to approve the class until 4 people books separately or together there is quite a lot of different use cases and most of them were voted and requested by our by a large number of users so that is why we have several option and several ways of setting something up.

Should you have any further inquiries, we kindly request that you open separate tickets for each question and we will gladly help you there.

We wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day ahead.
