When a customer cancels an appointment and has not paid, I use to go under Finance and edit the payment and delete it. However, the delete button that was there is no longer there. If I enter paid with $0 it still shows that the original amount is due. How do i get the delete button back?
Thanks for reaching out to us. Unfortunately, the option to delete the payments in the Finance section has been removed with Amelia 7.4.2, thus the checkboxes and the option have been removed, as well.
Then what is the best way to remove an amount due that is not actually due since the appointmentwas canceled? I'm unable to show it as a zero dollar appointment I've removed the person from a group appointment but it doesn't remove the financial end
You would need to access your database first. The database has all the information stored, like appointments, customer information, as well as payments. Most common way to enter the database is by using the plugin phpMyAdmin or CPanel.
is there a plan to make this easier? I don't understand why this feature was removed. It could have been an option not accessible for all employees or have a question that pops up when removing a customer from an appointment if the payment due should be removed if unpaid or refunded if paid. This is frustrating that I now need to find a programmer to help. As a small business, we dont have programmers on staff.
Unfortunately, we have discovered that deleting the payments caused a conflict with another parts of Amelia, so we have removed this option to avoid unnecessary conflicts. We certainly are going to work on improving this, but for the time being, the only option, as mentioned before is to delete the payments from the database.

Hello Marjorie,
The only option would be to delete them from the database. If you search for the table wp_amelia_payments, you can find all payments here
