I've been using the ICS file feature for email notifications in WP Amelia, which works great with detailed event descriptions and placeholders. However, I noticed that when adding events directly to calendars through the provided Google, Outlook, Yahoo, and Apple links, these descriptions don't carry over.
Is there a way to include event descriptions in the direct calendar links as well? If not currently possible, could this feature be considered for future updates? It would be a big win for user convenience, avoiding the manual ICS file handling just for the descriptions.
Thanks for looking into this, excited to hear your thoughts.
Just to make sure, you are referring to the option when the booking is completed and when the customer select the option to add to one of the calendars?
I see now. When adding the appointment to one of the Calendar, only information about the appointment is registered, which means the appointment time, location and etc. The .ics file is only sent with notifications depends on the appointment status.
Please feel free to search through our feature suggestion page, to see if someone may have already suggested this feature. If you can't see it, feel free to add your suggestion there, and as more people vote, the feature will move higher on the priority list.
You can certainly follow our changeLog page if you'd like, where we state any changes/new features/bug fixes during updates and our newsletter, so you're informed about new features, bug fixes, freebies, etc.

Hello Stefan,
yes, that's exactly the option I mean.
There you can import the event directly into your calendar, which is great for the user experience.
But there is no description in there, like in the ICS file that is sent separately to customers.
