Hey there, Awesome Customers!

Just a heads up: We'll be taking a breather to celebrate International Workers' Day (May 1st and 2nd - Wednesday and Thursday) and Orthodox Easter from Good Friday (May 3rd) through Easter Monday (May 6th). So, from May 1st to May 6th, our team will be off enjoying some well-deserved downtime.

During this time, our customer support will be running on a smaller crew, but don't worry! We'll still be around to help with any urgent matters, though it might take us a bit longer than usual to get back to you.

We'll be back in action at full throttle on May 7th (Tuesday), ready to tackle your questions and requests with gusto!

In the meantime, you can explore our documentation for Amelia and wpDataTables. You'll find loads of helpful resources, including articles and handy video tutorials on YouTube (Amelia's YouTube Channel and wpDataTables' YouTube Channel). These gems might just have the answers you're looking for while we're kicking back.

Thanks a bunch for your understanding and support!

Catch you on the flip side!

Warm regards,

TMS

Hi, I've got two questions concerning coupons!

    1. is there a way to highlight the appointments where customer has used a coupon? I mean on the calendar or anywhere else but the notifies.

    2. I saw that coupons are not unique. I mean that I can create more coupons with the same name. Is it expected? Why?

    Thanks!
    Ale

Well, it's exactly what I don't want to do.

I mean that a coupon SHOULD be unique, else how do you manage 2 different coupons with the same name but different end date? System should say you: "Attention, there's already a coupon with this name, choose another name please"

    Hello there,

Unfortunately, currently, this feature is not built-in in Amelia. What you want to achieve is not possible at this time Im afraid. So at this time you need to create them under different time and date manually.

    Thanks Marko.

So, may I ask you what should I expect from Amelia if I add 2 coupons with the same name and different options?

    E.g.

    - code: AAA, discount 10%, services: service1 + service2, limitation: 1, number of uses: 1, end date: 2024-04-04

    - code: AAA, discount 20%, services: service3 + service4, limitation: 2, number of uses: 2, end date: 2024-04-05

When a client uses code "AAA" as coupon TODAY to buy services 2 and 3, what happens to his final bill? Does he get the 20% discount of the last-ending coupon for service 3 and 10% discount of the first-ending coupon for service 2?

    Hello again,

We do not understand why you would do this but in case that you create 2 coupn with the same name and assign them to the same service or event then the first coupon that you have created should be applied.

We do not understand why you would do this but in case that you create 2 coupn with the same name and assign them to the same service or event then the first coupon that you have created should be applied.

It's easy to explain: since coupon are not self-assigned but they're up to human decision, there's a human mistake chance.
My aim is give to hotel's client the chance to book spa too, by giving them a coupon with a discount of 10% for spa, since they're already hotel's customers. Frequent customers could also have more discount, using others coupons only for affiliated ones. But I would like to generate single-client coupon.
So, if coupon's name has to be created manually by the receptionist, it could be possible that he/she will use the same "code" more than one time and maybe for different customers, maybe also at the same time... and it's not a marketing goal.

Perhaps you thought about coupon only for offers. E.g. all the subscribers of a newsletter receive the same coupon to book with a discount within a certain date. But it's just ONE possible way to use it (and not the best-effort one, in my own opinion).

Maybe I should be able to decide if choose the name of a coupon or make the software generate it.

But the code should be unique.

I'll add it to the wish list, even if I believe that's more a defect by desing than an enhanchement request.

    Thanks!

    Hello again,

Yes, in this example we now understand a little better what you want to achieve and the coupons are not designed with that in mind and unfortunately that is not currently possible in Amelia. The best I can do is to internally forward the suggestion to our internal board and you will leave the suggestion on public board, but we can't promise you anything, that's the most we can do at this moment.

We wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day ahead.
