This video show a clear navigation structure between Appointments, Events and Profile, each being in their respective tabs on the customer panel, which makes sense. And this must have been in a previous version, as that is not the current functionality.
In the current version, when accessing the profile now from the menu, it now becomes unclear how to return to the Appointments tab, as there is no Profile tab any more that is highlighted to show what tab content is currently being shown. The Appointments tab appears to only be a label, not a button. This change in UX appears to have been a mistake.
The original functionality of the 2 to 3 tabs was more intuitive than the current functionality and should probably be restored.
We are not sure what do you mean exactly but we did not make any changes on the backend and on the customer and employee panel and the look is still the same. We will soon hopefully implement new customer and employee panels that will have many more options but the old look was not changed and you still can see the events and profile in a dropdown under the mail a appointments tab in the panel. If you do not see it please make sure that you are using correct shortcode.
We wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day ahead.
Hello Marko, I will show the differences I speak of, and yes, there are differences on the front end customer panel from the initial video that was released on the feature, compared to what is there now. The User Profile used to have it's own Tab, this is no longer the case.
And then in a future iteration of the plugin, it was removed:
Now when activating the profile view, there's no clear indication that the appointment and event tabs are even "buttons". When the Events tab is not enabled according to the admin settings, it's even less clear that Appointments is a clickable element. There's no left/right button markers... Just a word on a blue strip.
Reinstating the Profile Tab button, would create a more natural UX, as it's clear that the items to the left are also links.
I'm not sure why it was moved to the drop down.
At the very least at a Close button to the left of Save Changes that will return the user to the previous Appointments or Event view they were on previously would be helpful addition
Yes, my apologies this was way back so we forgot about it. Not sure why this was changed but there must have been a reason when we implement new features or forms we use large case study groups so perhaps this change was made based on that. Real soon we should have new panels most likely in the next couple of updates and they will look different and they will have more customization option. We can not say how they will look at this time but this you should be able to see and try out soon.
Should you have any further inquiries, we kindly request that you open separate tickets for each question and we will gladly help you there.
We wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day ahead.
