Hey there, Awesome Customers!

Just a heads up: We'll be taking a breather to celebrate International Workers' Day (May 1st and 2nd - Wednesday and Thursday) and Orthodox Easter from Good Friday (May 3rd) through Easter Monday (May 6th). So, from May 1st to May 6th, our team will be off enjoying some well-deserved downtime.

During this time, our customer support will be running on a smaller crew, but don't worry! We'll still be around to help with any urgent matters, though it might take us a bit longer than usual to get back to you.

We'll be back in action at full throttle on May 7th (Tuesday), ready to tackle your questions and requests with gusto!

In the meantime, you can explore our documentation for Amelia and wpDataTables. You'll find loads of helpful resources, including articles and handy video tutorials on YouTube (Amelia's YouTube Channel and wpDataTables' YouTube Channel). These gems might just have the answers you're looking for while we're kicking back.

Thanks a bunch for your understanding and support!

Catch you on the flip side!

Warm regards,

TMS

    I need to change some of the styling in the Amelia window, but do not understand where to make these changes:

    1) When the scheduling of an appointment is complete, I do not want to see a party hat as it is very unprofessional. How and where do I change that to another image.

    2) In the Amelia sidebar, I have the option of putting my phone number. However, all formatting is stripped out. How do I format the phone number so that it looks like +1 (123) 456-7890

    3) I can't seem to be able to get the "Services" pulldown menu to appear for some reason. Is this another formatting issue?

    Hello there,

    Thank you for reaching out to us.

    1) When the scheduling of an appointment is complete, I do not want to see a party hat as it is very unprofessional. How and where do I change that to another image. -

    We don't have a built-in option to change the confetti icon yet, but the New Step Form is in Beta Stage - our developers are taking suggestions to improve it, and they will add new options as quickly as possible.

    Please feel free to search through our feature suggestion page

     to see if someone may be already suggested this feature. If you can't see it, feel free to add your suggestion there, and as more people vote, the feature will move higher on the priority list.

    You can certainly follow our changeLog page if you'd like, where we state any changes/new features/bug fixes during updates;

    and our newsletter, so you're informed about new features, bug fixes, freebies, etc.

    -

    At this time, if you wish to try to replace the icon, there is a custom workaround.

    It works on my Test site, so technically it should work for you as well.smile.png

    You can replace the SVG image, that is located in this path :

    ..\wp-content\plugins\ameliabooking\v3\src\assets\img\congratulations : congratulations.svg

    2356292231.png

    For example, i took a random free SVG image from Google and cropped it ;

     please make sure that the SVG has a width and height of 54 pixels :

    9194358226.png

    Then, you can overwrite the SVG file, and it should work.

    5711187301.png

    -

    And important to know,  when you do this -  you would have to repeat the process at every Update;

    since updating the plugin will overwrite with setting the default image again.

    Hope this helps.

    2) In the Amelia sidebar, I have the option of putting my phone number. However, all formatting is stripped out. How do I format the phone number so that it looks like +1 (123) 456-7890 - Unfortunately, currently, this feature is not built-in in Amelia.

    3) I can't seem to be able to get the "Services" pulldown menu to appear for some reason. Is this another formatting issue? - The dropdown appear automatically when you have several services and when those services are added to employee work hours.

    Also you need to use general shortcode for example [ameliastepbooking] if you set the shortcode only for one service [ameliastepbooking service=1] then the shortcode will show only that service so please check those 2 things.

    Should you have any further inquiries, we kindly request that you open separate tickets for each question and we will gladly help you there.

    We wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day ahead.

    1) Others have made the suggestion about the party hat. I hope you take that seriously even though it is not upvoted high enough. This lack of professionalism on my website is embarrassing. :-(

    Is there an html or css snippet I can add just before that gets executed right before the page or popup with the calendar gets loaded. Having to upload the correct icon each time I update Amelia is really tedious.

    2) I've decided to remove the sidebar. It does not look professional with an unformatted phone number.

    3) OK, that confirms my suspicion. This is fine. Thanks.

    Hello there,

    1. Unfortunately, currently, this is the only way that we are aware at this time

    2. Whatever suits you best, set Amelia to look like and work in  that way. Everyone has a different opinion on how Amelia it look and we respect everyone's opinion

    Hi Mendy,

    If you have a child theme (you should have one for these types of situations)...

    you can try overriding the file by replicating the following folder/file structure in your child theme, and replacing congratulations.svg with your own file with the same name.

    your-child-theme/
    ├── ameliabooking/
    │   └── v3/
    │       └── src/
    │           └── assets/
    │               └── img/
    │                   └── congratulations/
    │                       └── congratulations.svg

    If it works, this will prevent the plugin from overriding your image when it updates.  Please post if you were successful or not, as I have not tried this myself.  But this technique usually works to override plugin files.
