    Hi,

I am busy setting up the platform and I am having trouble with getting bookings to not conflict.

    We have the following -
    3 Service Types

    4 Rooms
    2 Employees

    ---

2 of the services types require one of the employees time (The others don't)
The rooms cannot be double booked

    __

Currently though, if any service is booked, time avaiablility is blocked out for all services. Which is incorrect.

We could in theory have the following -

4 bookings at the same time
2 of them using employees time
2 others not needing employees time

All of this could happen in the same block of time

    __

What would be the best way to set this up, I am struggling to get it right.

    Thanks.

    Hello there,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are not exactly sure what you want to set up and if this is possible in Amelia.

We will explain how Amelia works.

    1. So services cannot be without time slot they must have a predefined length. Amelia is designed for appointment booking and time slot must be chosen.

    2. 2 others not needing employee's time - This is not possible also. Service work hours and days depend on employee work hours so a service can not function and can not be booked in Amelia without an employee

    3. 4 bookings at the same time - This you can not do also because as we mention service work hours and days depend on employee work hours and Amelia is designed to prevent double booking

So as soon as the employee is booked on one service he is then automatically unavailable for booking on other services in that time slot.

This is how Amelia works and this can not be changed Im afraid so we are not sure if you can set this up with Amelia.

    Kind Regards,

    Hi Marko,

Let me try explain better, as I understand what you are saying there -

    1. Understood
    2. No problem, what I have done is add an 'employee' in that isn't a real person to use as a placeholder for this service.
    3. I understand this, but if we have 2 employees available for one service, and one of them is booked, surely there should still be availability for the other at the same itme? Wouldn't be double booking, as both employees can offer the same service at the same time. (Currently how I have it set up though, is no other service can get booked at the same time, which is an issue)

Please let me know if this makes more sense, and if there is possibly a setting I have incorrect, also happy to send login details or have a call with someone from your team to show the setup.

    Thanks.

    Hello again,

Regarding 3 question yes if you have 2 employees you offer 2 separate appointments.

Then can be 1 on 1 or it can be grouped so for example if you set capacity to 10 then both employees can accept 10 booking each in that te slot.

    So

    1. Make sure that both services are added to employee work hours

    2. When you offer group classes you need to enable the option "Allow booking below minimum capacity" in Amelia/settings/appointment settings. When this is enabled, multiple customers will be able to book the same time slot, without having to fill in the minimum capacity.

If you have any more questions please feel to open another ticket.

Hope this helps in case it does nit please send u a short one minute video of the issue so that we can see what the issue looks exactly.

    Best regards.

    Kind Regards,
