We have a table with a date column. Editing the record and this date column on the front end and on the admin page does not work if:
Using the date picker.
Or enter the date using the keyboard!
Please see the attached image that had 24/03/19 selected on the picker or typed in, and you get a random date. I did try deleting this date, saving the record, and opening it again, but I still get a random date no matter how I try to enter a US format date.
And here is a good one. Editing the page using the picker and clicking on a date in the middle of March shows 2024-03-0 (yes, zero), but when saved, it has a date of 2024-02-29!
Unzip the file i sent and upload it to overwrite the existing file there.
After that, purge cache of your Site and try - let me know if that fixes the Date Picker on your end.
It works on our Test Sites.
If it does not work, we can try to fix it for you from our end ;
If you need us to do that remotely, please provide me a WP-admin (administrator) user for your website where this happens,
as well as FTP credentials;
so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.
You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.
And please confirm the Table ID.
Let me know how it goes and if you need us to remote in.
No problem about re-opening the ticket, that is absolutely OK, since it is about the same subject.
If I understood, you fixed the issue on two Staging Sites, but the Live Site remains with the bug for the Date Picker?
That should not be possible, the JS fix should work the same way on all websites/Plugin installations.
I presume you did the same process of replacing/overwriting the JS file on the Live Site via FTP/or Hosting File Manager?
If you did everything in the same way, replaced the file, disabled the "Minify JS" option of our Plugin and the issue remains, we can remote in and try to isolate why it won't work on the Live Site.
For that, if you can send me the URL to reach the WP-Admin on the Live Site;
and FTP Credentials - if you can also write what is the path to the WordPress Folder on the Live Site FTP.
And the Table ID as an example to test if it's fixed after that.
Just make sure when you send the sensitive details to mark the reply as Private for safety.

BTW, I am running wpDataTables v6.2.1 and mater-detail v1.3.7.
WP v6.4.3 and all plugins are up to date.

Hi Graham,
Thank you for reporting this.
We have another couple of users who experienced the same issue and we can confirm this is a bug from our end.
Our developers made the first version of the Fix for the Date Picker bug.
We will most probably add this fix to the next Update - but I can't guarantee it yet, since we need more testing on it.
I am sending you the edited fix file here as an attachment and will advise you on how to upload it to your FTP.
First , make sure you are using the latest Plugin version 6.2.1.
Then, access your FTP/ or Hosting File manager, and inside your WordPress Folder, find this JS file:
..\wp-content\plugins\wpdatatables\assets\js\wpdatatables\wdt.funcs.js
Unzip the file i sent and upload it to overwrite the existing file there.
After that, purge cache of your Site and try - let me know if that fixes the Date Picker on your end.
It works on our Test Sites.

Hi Graham,
Firstly my sincere apology for the waiting time.
And I am sorry for forgetting to point out the important last step;
Can you please check do you have this option enabled, in Main Plugin settings/Custom Js and CSS/Use minified wpDataTables Javascript ?
If so, please disable/uncheck that, then purge cache again and refresh your Table;
That should fix it?
Sorry once again for missing the last step of the instructions.
Kind Regards,
Miloš Jovanović
