We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
We're trying to use Amelia for a multi-faceted program that has equipment rentals, event space and office rentals. The reservation/rental portion is straightforward, but I'm looking for some specific features.
We have "VIP" customers that have access to reduced or free pricing. I know you can set pricing by employee which could work, but how do you exclude "standard" customers from the VIP employee services?
Is there a way to capture credit card information for rentals if the VIP price is $0.00? We need a card on file to cover equipment loss or fuel charges. Would a mandatory $0.00 deposit work?
Our rental equipment requires additional customer information and signatures on rental agreements. Is there a way to include rental agreements as part of the reservation?
Hello Rob,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
By default, each customer can access the booking form and make an appointment through the booking form, but the workaround would be to use membership plugins (like MemberPress, Ultimate Member, etc.) since this plugin allow you to create a page that is inaccessible to some (for example non-logged-in users). You can also create custom logic, so a user can access this page once a month (for example), but we're not sure about that, since we don't work with Membership plugins.
Amelia doesn't store any credit cart information, only the appointment information like customer name, email, payment status and etc.
Regarding rental agreements, you can use custom fields to collect additional information from customers. For example, you can use this workaround for "terms and conditions"
Add a link to Terms & Conditions, you can use "Checkbox" or "Radio" custom fields. In the custom field you need to add an anchor tag like this:
So this text appears as a hyperlink that opens a new tab (target="_blank") and takes the customers to your Terms & Conditions without them leaving the booking form. So the custom field on the back-end would look like this:
As you can see, we made this radio button a mandatory field, so no one can book an appointment without checking the "I agree" button.
I hope it helps.
Kind Regards,
Stefan Petrov
