Hey there, Awesome Customers!

Just a heads up: We'll be taking a breather to celebrate International Workers' Day (May 1st and 2nd - Wednesday and Thursday) and Orthodox Easter from Good Friday (May 3rd) through Easter Monday (May 6th). So, from May 1st to May 6th, our team will be off enjoying some well-deserved downtime.

During this time, our customer support will be running on a smaller crew, but don't worry! We'll still be around to help with any urgent matters, though it might take us a bit longer than usual to get back to you.

We'll be back in action at full throttle on May 7th (Tuesday), ready to tackle your questions and requests with gusto!

In the meantime, you can explore our documentation for Amelia and wpDataTables. You'll find loads of helpful resources, including articles and handy video tutorials on YouTube (Amelia's YouTube Channel and wpDataTables' YouTube Channel). These gems might just have the answers you're looking for while we're kicking back.

Thanks a bunch for your understanding and support!

Catch you on the flip side!

Warm regards,

TMS

We have tried looking at your demo sites, but couldn't find anything related to Catering. Also, in the "Who's it for?" section, there is no mention of Catering, but I was just thinking that maybe it wasn't thought of at the moment...

We cook and sell Bar-B-Que locally, and at concert events and will soon start catering to businesses, individuals for parties/gatherings, social events, etc... and was just wondering if Amelia would be able to "cater" to the catering business.

Instead of explaining every detail, I have attached an image of a basic form that we use just to get by but would like to know if we're able to implement that needed information from the customer, to within Amelia, to give us the information that we need, have them schedule available dates/times, and make payments.

    Hello David,

Absolutely, based on the screenshot you've provided, it seems that Amelia can indeed cater to your specific needs for managing your catering business. Amelia is a versatile booking and appointment plugin for WordPress that offers extensive customization options, making it suitable for a wide range of businesses, including catering services like yours.

From the information you've shared, it appears that you're looking to streamline the process of collecting customer information, scheduling appointments, and accepting payments—all of which Amelia can handle seamlessly.

Regarding your requirement for collecting customer information, Amelia supports customizable booking forms, allowing you to gather specific details from your clients. This means you can easily integrate the necessary fields from your existing form into Amelia's booking system. Additionally, Amelia enables you to manage your availability by defining your working hours and specifying when you're available for catering events. You can set up different service offerings, such as BBQ packages or event catering, each with its own availability calendar, ensuring that customers can only book when you're free.

When it comes to accepting payments, Amelia supports various payment gateways, allowing you to seamlessly collect payments online. Whether you prefer to use PayPal, Stripe, or any other payment processor supported by WooCommerce (which integrates seamlessly with Amelia), you can rest assured that your transactions will be secure and hassle-free.

Moreover, Amelia's user-friendly interface and intuitive booking process make it easy for your customers to schedule appointments and make payments online. With features like automated email notifications and reminders, you can keep your clients informed every step of the way, ensuring a smooth and professional booking experience.

*UPDATE to my previous reply below*

I just went over the feature list again and found the:

    Booking Time Limits

Configure minimum time required before booking and before canceling. Depending on your business, configure the periods for bookings and cancellations.

and read the example from the link. That's exactly what we need as far as time required before booking. This is looking more and more fitting to our business every time I go over the feature list. Thank you for your time and we should implement this to our business solution soon.

    Thanks for the reply @Uros.

One more thing that I haven't seen, concerning scheduling availability... since it takes 18+ hours to prep, cook and pack everything, we would like to block out 3-4 days (or more if needed) on the booking calendar, after today's date. So if a customer/client checks the calendar any day of the week, they would not see any dates/times available to book, until 3-4 days out (or more if needed).

I see the "Buffer Time Management" that seems to block out time before/after a chosen event, but is that feature used/allowed to block time (X amount of days) from, say, today's viewing date?

So a client viewing the booking calendar no matter what day of the week, isn't able to book an event, the next day, as that would almost be impossible for us, currently.

    Hello David,

Thank you for reaching back out to us and for your patience.

Since you want 3-4 days to be blocked in the future and not be bookable, you can set the "Minimum time required before booking" option to 3 to 4 days.

Please let me know if that works for you or not.
