I can't seem to find a way to do a 'buy one, get one' free or discounted type of coupon. One example would be to put in the coupon code, and if you bought some # of items that was defined, they could then get a discount of % or $ on some other defined quantity. Hope that makes sense... in the simplest sense we're looking for 'buy one, get one free' or 'buy one, get one half off' functionality.
Something similar is possible to configure if you go to Finance / Coupons / Edit. In settings, there is a tab "notifcations" where you can configure the notification interval
Here you can set the number of approved bookings after which the customer will automatically receive the coupon in the notification. Please note that the coupon placeholder needs to be set in the notification template in order for this to work.
