Hi there, just want to confirm: the mobile device that has the WhatsApp business number on that we will be using to send notifications to our clients, does the mobile device need to be permanently switched on in order for the Amelia plugin to send WhatsApp notifications?
Yes, you need a new number for Amelia because if you set this number that you already have this number will be locked it won't be able to receive any more messages or calls.This is how integration must work at this time due to way the meta works. So at least for now you need to have a new second number for Amelia WhatsApp notifications.

I would assume it would need to be in order for it to keep connection with Amelia notifications - of is this not the case? Can we assign a new number but not have the number in a mobile device at all?
Thank you for the additional explanation and we only tested this with the device turned on so we assume that in this case the device must be available. You can of course try this or you can use some Twilio nuber for example. This would be an online number that can work without a device.
