Lately I've been having an issue where bookings made through Amelia intermittently do not sync properly with my Google Calendar. This doesn't happen always, but only with some appointments. For example, just last night I received 3 bookings, 2 of which synced perfectly but 1 never did.
Interestingly, this same appointment never sent the EMPLOYEE "Approved" notification email either. I can't say whether the customer received their "Approved" email or not, but I never received the employee one. However, when I go into Appointments, I do see the booking registered there. But it still is not on my linked Google Calendar.
I will also mention that, out of the 3 bookings, the two that worked perfectly were paid via Stripe and the 1 that did not was paid via PayPal. I'm not sure this has anything to do with the issue, but I thought I'd mention it.
Well, since the issue is not happening always, it would be complicated to replicate the same, but i can take a look a run few tests and also check the configuration.
Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your website where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.
You can write credentials here because this ticket is private and nobody can see them except us.
Other than configuring the SMTP protocol for notifications, there arent many options for the Google Sync that can be enabled / disabled, expect the option called "maximum number of events returned". You can find this option is Google Calendar settings. Make sure that the SMTP protocol is configured and increase the maximum number of events and it should be good to go.
Thank you for providing additional information. Unfortunately, if the issue occurs intermittently, we are unable to reproduce it consistently, making it challenging to identify the root cause. Based on past experiences, increasing the maximum number of events often resolves such issues. Additionally, we have observed cases where the PHP configuration for mail settings was the cause.
If notifications are functioning correctly with SMTP, it becomes more challenging to diagnose if they occasionally fail to send. Furthermore, Google Calendar integration relies on its servers, so any issues could be related to server problems on their end. If the problem persists, troubleshooting and identifying the root cause would be much more manageable.
