We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
I just bought the plugin and have been configuring it for a client - overall it seems like a great fit, however I've come up against a few niggling issues I can't find answers to.
1. Displaying a list of events only for one location. What I'd like is a shortcode like [ameliaeventslistbooking location=1] so that on a page like this: https://staging.regather.net/farm I can show just the events that are happening at the farm.
2. An option for displaying non-bookable events. My client would like to list events, such as free community festivals, that do not need to be booked. Currently I'm looking at a workaround of changing the 'booking opens' date to after the event which greys out the button (I guess from there I could use CSS to hide the button if it has a class of 'is-disabled' however this not ideal, it would be much better if there were an option in the event settings to make it non-bookable.
3. Deleting / editing tags. In trying to solve problem 2, I tried creating a tag for a non-bookable event, hoping it would produce a CSS class I could target, but since it didn't I'd like to delete that tag but can't find any way to do so.
4. Customizations are lost after migration. I customized various things on my local server, after migrating the site to the staging server using WP Migrate, all the customizations were lost - very odd!
Hello Henry,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
Please, find the answers below
1. Displaying a list of events only for one location. What I'd like is a shortcode like [ameliaeventslistbooking location=1] so that on a page like this: https://staging.regather.net/farm I can show just the events that are happening at the farm.
Unfortunately, there is currently no such option with Amelia's built-in features. Currently, this is only available for the appointments (services)
Please feel free to search through our feature suggestion page, to see if someone may have already suggested this feature. If you can't see it, feel free to add your suggestion there, and as more people vote, the feature will move higher on the priority list.
You can certainly follow our changeLog page if you'd like, where we state any changes/new features/bug fixes during updates and our newsletter, so you're informed about new features, bug fixes, freebies, etc.
That's correct, by default, all events needs to be bookable and the workaround would be to either set the "booking opens" ahead of the "event start" date or hide the "book now" button with the CSS.
3. Deleting / editing tags. In trying to solve problem 2, I tried creating a tag for a non-bookable event, hoping it would produce a CSS class I could target, but since it didn't I'd like to delete that tag but can't find any way to do so.
When adding tags in the Events settings, you can click a small "x" to remove the tag from the event, otherwise you would need to delete them from the database
4. Customizations are lost after migration. I customized various things on my local server, after migrating the site to the staging server using WP Migrate, all the customizations were lost - very odd!
Unfortunatelly, during each update, things like the translation or custom edits (css and etc) can be lost. I suppose you've made changes like the booking form customizations?
Kind Regards,
Stefan Petrov
