frontend calendar display customization

On my front-end customer booking form, I would like for the Amelia Calendar day to reflect whether the full day is available, partially booked or unavailable.  Currently, I can show that the day is either completely unavailable or that it has some availability.  But for the days in which, say, 50% of available time is booked, I would like for that to be apparent on the monthly view of the calendar days.  Is this possible using Amelia?  I have a fairly basic website, and this seems like a no-brainer to offer.  Thank you!

www.cowgirlgardens.com is the website I use in case helpful to view what I am talking about (see "Book Consultation" page)

    Hello there,

I'm afraid that we didn't quite get what you want to achieve exactly? Can you explain to us in a little more detail, and send us a couple of screenshots?

We wish you all the best.

The current display when a customer goes to book a service on my website is shown in the attachment titled SS1.  This clearly shows the current date, days available for booking and days that are completely unavailable.

Then SS2 shows what the customer sees when they select a date - here, it is Feb 14.  The times available appear under the calendar view.

However, what I would like for the first screen to show is some indication that time slots are filling up on days that have *some* availability, but aren't completely available.

So my question is if there is a setting in Amelia that allows the display that the customer sees to show that some of Feb 14 is available, but not all.  Ideally, this feature would indicate *on the calendar view* at what point in the day there is / is not availability on each day - see SS3 image showing that the middle of Feb 14 is booked, but the morning and later in the day are available.  That said, I would appreciate any indicator that differentiates between days that are 100% available for booking and days that are less than 100% available.

    Does that make sense?

    Hello again,

Thank you for the additional explanation and we have this option built in. When you have several appointments on the same day it will show as days are filling up like this

    4692885651.png

This is the only option that we have at the moment. If you would like to see more of them we encourage you to kindly consider submitting this valuable suggestion as a feature request through the following link: https://features.wpamelia.com/. The prioritization of feature development is greatly influenced by the number of customer requests received. By participating and expressing your support, you contribute significantly to the potential expedited implementation of this feature.

Should you have any further inquiries, we kindly request that you open separate tickets for each question and we will gladly help you there.

We wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day ahead.

ok thank you. That is helpful to understand that, as appointments are booked via the Amelia interface, the gauge fills up

I guess the piece that is missing, and what I am asking whether is possible, is if Amelia will reflect that the calendar is booking up even if I have appointments or other conflicts that are not booked specifically through Amelia.

    Is this an option?

    Hello again,

If you have completed Google or Outlook integration then you need to connect the employee to that calendar and then when you have something set it your calendar as busy those time slots will not show as available for booking in Amelia.

You can do that easily you just need to check for 3 things

    1. You have option Remove Google Calendar Busy Slots in Google Settings in Amelia plugin. When you enable this option it will be removed the busy slots in your employees’ Google Calendars from their work schedules in Amelia. When enabled, time slots from the Amelia Calendar will be removed whenever there is an event in the Google Calendar.

You can read more in our documentation about Configuring Google Calendar in the Amelia WordPress Booking Plugin.

    2. In order for these slots to be removed the events in Google Calendar must be set as Busy.

    3. In settings/inetgrations you gave option called maximum number of events returned to 2500 please make sure that is set like this

And make sure to purge the cache.

    This should help.

Unfortunately this is not the issue.  I refer you to the example shown in the original message and attachments (and you can see another example live on my website www.cowgirlgardens.com - look at dates Feb 29 (open), 27 (some availability), 28 (only 1 available time slot).  The squares representing each calendar day all look the same.  However, when one clicks on each day, only available time slots appear as options to click.  So I know that Amelia recognizes the busy time slots in the back end google / outlook calendars.  But it is not reflecting this in the calendar view.

I am connecting Amelia to both google and outlook calendars - I wonder if that may be causing a problem?

I also know that if someone books a time *in the Amelia calendar system*, this feature works on my website.  I created a Dummy appointment for 10am on Feb 26, which is reflected in the Feb 26 day square on the Amelia calendar.

So I am still looking for a way to solve this challenge.  It is of significant importance to me as I build my business - potential customers coming to the site need to know that time slots are booking quickly, else they will put off making appointments.

Is there any way to schedule a call to try to determine the root cause here?  I very much appreciate the benefit of the ticket system, but I am losing valuable time here.  Thank you so much for your guidance!

    Hello again,

When you have several questions or issues please open a new ticket, and we will help you there. In that way, issues and questions which are related to different subjects will be in separate tickets so other customers or our support agents can find them easily.

Our policy is to have one issue or question per ticket because of the reasons that are described already.

    Thank you for understanding.

Amelia can not show that some days are filled 10% or 50 % if you make this busy events on a calendar. Amelia can show "fill" option only if those books are made in Amelia.

If you add them only in a calendar they will only become unavailable for booking it will not fill up date field in Amelia because you have nothing in Amelia.

You added a booking on 26th and this clearly shows on a booking form

    8492826374.png

So as far as we can see everything is working fine with Amelia.

If you want that booking/busy events that you create in a calendar to show in Amelia Im afraid that this is not possible. Only booking that are booked through Amelia can show in Amelia.

As for a call Im afraid that this is not possible we provide support only via ticket and we have a policy od one question or issue per ticket to keep things fair for all users. Hope you understand.

As far as your issue we do not see any if we misunderstood something you can send us a short one minute video so that we can see it better for now as far as we can see everything is fine.

We wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day ahead.

Hi Marko - I appreciate the response.  To clarify a few points that have come up in this thread:

    1. Your comment “If you want that booking/busy events that you create in a calendar to show in Amelia Im afraid that this is not possible. Only booking that are booked through Amelia can show in Amelia” is the key issue here.  The desire to have the Amelia calendar show “filled” times, regardless of whether the time was booked through Amelia or not, is the central issue / request at hand in this thread (this is the one issue in this ticket).  I would very much like to see a future iteration of Amelia offer this exact functionality.  ***Is it possible to push out an update??***  Given that the Amelia plug-in is able to read busy times on Outlook and Google calendars, this seems like it should be possible.  As a business owner, it is so much more impactful if my potential clients see that there is scarcity in my available time slots - something they cannot currently see today unless (a) time is booked in Amelia or (b) they click into each day.

    2. I am aware that the “fill” option does show when an appointment is booked in Amelia.  In fact, I pointed this difference out in the thread ;)

    3. No call or video required at this time

    Respectfully submitted,

    Isabella
