Hi there,
Please can you clarify how the duration affects the booking of appointments bundled within a service?
I understand that it sets the period of time within which the services bundled have to be booked. Assuming this is correct, can you tell me:
(1) Is the customer's ability to re-schedule appointments in the customer panel limited by the same period?
(2) Is it possible to limit the the dates booked by the duration of the package? (i.e. if duration = 1 month, all the appointments have to be made AND used within that month period.
Thank you..
Derek
Hello Derek,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
The duration you set is for the package while the appointments within a package are defined by the "Period available for booking" in Amelia's General Settings or individual settings of a service. So, if you sell a package with 10 appointments, and set the duration of the package to be 1 year, your customers will have 1 year to book those 10 appointments.
However, the appointments within a package can be booked as far ahead as you configured the "Period available for booking in advance" in Amelia's General Settings, or individual service setting. For example, if this is set to 30 days, at the time when an appointment is being booked, the customers will be able to choose the dates 30 days from TODAY. Defining the duration of the package doesn't define the availability of appointments.
I hope it helps.
Kind Regards,
Stefan Petrov

Hi Stefan,
That's great, thank you. One follow up using your example. If a customer books the appointments within the set "period available for booking in advance" can they then amend a booking (assuming the customer panel is visible and set to allow customers to amend appointments) to be beyond the period set (e.g. moving it to day 45 from today where a period of 30 days is set)?
Derek
Hello Derek,
Apologies for the delayed answer. When the package is already booked by the customer, he wont be able to reschedule the appointment outside the time/date of "period available for booking in advance"
For example, it has been set to 30 days
But in the customer panel, the last day for rescheduling is 30 days ahead
Let us know if you have any other questions.
Kind Regards,
Stefan Petrov
