I am not a programmer but I managed to fetch data from Amelia into Google Sheets with the Rest API in Google App Script and managed to do advanced things with that data in Google Sheets with the help of Chat GPT.

Now I am wondering if it should in theory be possible to fetch Amelia Events data into Metabox custom fields. I want to be able to create my own schedule layouts and designs for the events in Bricks Builder.

That should enable me to make the Events list searchable from the homepage and other parts of the website and should enable me to create a completely custom layout and design. We have lots of events and the disconnect between my custom post types and Amelia makes it kind of hard to create a coherent overview of what the schedule is.

If that is possible, it would already be great. I would probably just add buttons that open a modal with the Amelia schedule. Users will have to select the date twice, once in the website search and once in the calender I am assuming but that's fine.

However, if it would be possible to connect Metabox with an advanced form system like wsforms and then pass bookings on to Amelia it would be even better.

What I am imagining is a completely custom frontend with Amelia as the backend. Should that be possible with Rest API or is that too much?

    Thank you for the answer!

    Hello Gerhard,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Certainly! While it's an intriguing idea to integrate Amelia Events data into Metabox custom fields for enhanced event management and customization, unfortunately, as of now, such direct integration is not possible with Amelia. However, your suggestion is valuable and will be forwarded to our management for consideration regarding its implementation in future updates of the platform.

Creating a custom frontend with Amelia serving as the backend via the Rest API is indeed a complex endeavor. While the current limitations prevent direct integration with Metabox or advanced form systems like WSForms, exploring such possibilities and pushing the boundaries of integration is always beneficial for enhancing user experience and functionality.

Your vision for a seamless integration between Amelia and custom frontend designs to streamline event scheduling and management is commendable. Although it may not be achievable at the moment, advancements in technology and the evolution of platforms often pave the way for such integrations in the future.

In the meantime, your feedback will be instrumental in shaping the development roadmap, and our team will continue to explore possibilities for enhancing Amelia's capabilities to meet users' evolving needs. We appreciate your input and look forward to potentially implementing solutions that align with your requirements in the future.

    Kind Regards,
