I've configured Amelia so that after a booking is confirmed, I get a Google Calendar invitation. However, when we modify or cancel that specific event (created by Amelia) into my Google Calendar, it doesn't adjust automatically in Amelia > Appointments.
Tough, if I create a NEW "busy" event in my Google Calendar, in that case yes the availability correctly disappears from the Amelia Booking System.
But if I MODIFY or DELETE in my Google Calendar an event created by Amelia itself, then in that case the appointment isn't updated in Amelia > Appointments.
I have thought of a workaround, that is : let customers book their reservation and let Amelia create the booking in my Google Calendar. But after that, do NOT log the booking in Amelia > Appointments.
I actually don't need to have appointments listed in Amelia > Appointments. I only need them to appear in my Google Calendar.
With Google Synchronization, all employees in Amelia can sync their working schedule with their Google Calendar. Each appointment booked in Amelia will be added to their Google calendar with the customer added as a participant.
If Employee already has events in the Google calendar marked as busy, those will not be available for booking in Amelia – this will prevent overbooking. Rescheduling, canceling, or deleting the appointment needs to be done in Amelia. Suppose you reschedule the appointment in Google Calendar. In that case, that will not reflect in Amelia, but if you reschedule the appointment in Amelia, it will be updated in Google Calendar as well.
Currently, this is how the sync works, so it's working as designed.
