I have created the attached conditional formatting, however, it does not work. All cells are empty, if I turn the rules around all cells show 'self'.
If I only use the first rule it works properly, empty cells are replaced by 'self' and the rest of the content remains. Given that this rule works, I would expect that with the second rule, all cells that contain content are replaced by nothing but that is not the case.

Hi Auke,
Yes, it does seem a bit odd when we try it like that.
I found a workaround, if that helps.
You can reverse the order of these two Conditionals, and also, for that one which should take all cells that are 'not blank' and make them blank;
For the moment, it only works if we add a Custom CSS Class, then style it in the way so it hides the value.
Here is what i accomplished so far on my example, if we have a String Column like this :
Then i add the two Conditions like :
I name my Class as "customblank", but you can rename it to anything else.
Then we call the CSS in the Table's Customize/Custom CSS like this :
.customblank {
visibility : hidden !important;
}
Let me know if that helps.
Kind Regards,
Miloš Jovanović

Hi Auke,
No problem at all.
Let me know how it goes, if the suggested workaround solves it, or if you require any additional assistance.

I have decided to do this with the SQL query, it also gives me more flexibility.
Kind regards,
Auke
