I wanted to follow up on the login access I shared with you on the 30th of January. As of today, the 6th of February, I have yet to receive a resolution to our issue. Due to this delay, we are experiencing significant booking overlaps, resulting in a class size of 22 students for a session that can only accommodate 15. This presents a considerable challenge, as it necessitates contacting each affected individual to explain the situation, which is not only time-consuming but also potentially damaging to our reputation and finances.
I kindly request your urgent attention to this matter. If the issue could be resolved within the next 24 hours, it would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise, I will regrettably be compelled to consider alternative event platforms.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this urgent matter.
This was forwarded to our developer and we just got feedback form them. They asked us to ask you so you perhaps recall switching 'custom pricing' off for these events?
It seems that attendees purchased tickets for them, but now 'custom pricing' is off. When we turn this option back on, they become visible again. We left it visible on for the 'Sourdough Pizza Class CURRUMBIN' event on March 2nd. So that you can check there.
Additionally, we had to clear the cache (WP Rocket) for these changes to reflect on the front-end page. It's possible that if you switched off 'custom pricing,' the changes weren't immediately visible on the events form. Consequently, your customers were still able to book tickets for these events even though 'custom pricing' was turned off.
Thank you for your swift response and for clarifying the situation regarding the cache clearance via WP Rocket. I appreciate the insights provided.
I wanted to update you that I've managed to address the issue on my end by removing all the attendees and re-entering their bookings manually. However, it's crucial to point out that such a workaround, although effective this time, is not a sustainable solution. The problem persisted regardless of the 'custom pricing' feature being enabled or disabled, indicating a deeper issue within the system. It's evident that the ability to modify event parameters without affecting existing functionalities is fundamental, yet the current situation suggests a bug in the software.
For a clearer understanding, I've documented the issue and the temporary fix I applied in a video. I believe this will provide a more comprehensive view of the problem and its impact on event management.
I trust that this information will be helpful in diagnosing and ultimately resolving the underlying software issue. I look forward to any updates or solutions you can provide to prevent such occurrences in the future.
Thank you for sharing this with us we will make sure that out developers get this data so that they can review this and apply necessary changes in time if possible. Glad to hear that you managed to get it to work this time.
We wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day ahead.
We got this from our colleagues they say in the video you provided, the number of occupied spots is always calculated based on the pricing selected for the event.
So, if you select 'custom pricing,' it will count only attendees who have bought tickets for this event. If you turn it off, it will count attendees who have booked the event without tickets.
The bug is that the cache prevented the update of the front page where the shortcode is located, thus allowing the booking of the event even if there were bookings with different pricing options already present.
We have forwarded all the information to our QA team, and it will be addressed in the upcoming updates. Until then, please ensure to clear the cache every time you make changes to the event setup.
Should you have any further inquiries, we kindly request that you open separate tickets for each question and we will gladly help you there.
We wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day ahead.
I have made a video to show you the issue
Basically some of the events are not syncronized with the right number of attendees booked
