Hey there, Awesome Customers!

Just a heads up: We'll be taking a breather to celebrate International Workers' Day (May 1st and 2nd - Wednesday and Thursday) and Orthodox Easter from Good Friday (May 3rd) through Easter Monday (May 6th). So, from May 1st to May 6th, our team will be off enjoying some well-deserved downtime.

During this time, our customer support will be running on a smaller crew, but don't worry! We'll still be around to help with any urgent matters, though it might take us a bit longer than usual to get back to you.

We'll be back in action at full throttle on May 7th (Tuesday), ready to tackle your questions and requests with gusto!

In the meantime, you can explore our documentation for Amelia and wpDataTables. You'll find loads of helpful resources, including articles and handy video tutorials on YouTube (Amelia's YouTube Channel and wpDataTables' YouTube Channel). These gems might just have the answers you're looking for while we're kicking back.

Thanks a bunch for your understanding and support!

Catch you on the flip side!

Warm regards,

TMS

    Hi,

I've searched existing topics on this problem but to no avail.

In my scenario, I need a service like yoga class where I need to allow booking for a minimum of 3 people and a maximum of 10 people. Each customer is allowed to book only 1 seat (for himself). This is a real-life scenario, isn't it?

As said, I've read several threads about this problem but none help to solve it. Each proposed solution produces the same result: after the first booking, the slot becomes unavailable.

Could you please instruct me, what are the exact settings I have to employ, to get my scenario working?

    Hello there,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Yes, of course. You can set this up easily.

So in services when you click and edit is you can ser minimum capacity to 3 and maximum to 10 like this

And turn off Show "Bringing anyone with you" option

And when you offer group classes you need to enable the option "Allow booking below minimum capacity" in Amelia/settings/appointment settings. When this is enabled, multiple customers will be able to book the same time slot, without having to fill in the minimum capacity.

This should help you achieve what you need.

We wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day ahead.

    Thanks, Marko for the explanation.

Unfortunately, it doesn't work like this at all!

You forgot one, crucial step. The Employee assigned to the Service has to have the same or higher max. number set with his assigned Service. If the number is lower, Amelia allows booking only to this lower number.

Actually, there is a warning while changing min. or max. on the Service but the description is so misleading that I used to tap NO and the numbers on Employee account didn't change to reflect Service settings.

Surprisingly, when I change min./max. numbers on Employee, there is no warning.

Taking this into account, it is very easy to make a mistake with both un-synchronized number pairs.

On the top of it, there is a strange behavior of min./max. number pairs between Employee and Service.

As I described above, when you set  Employee 1/5, Service 1/5, all works correctly and you can book up to 5 seats.

When you set Employee 1/3, Service 1/5, you can book up to 3 seats which makes sense.

But when you set Employee 1/5, Service 1/3, you can book up to 5! It doesn't make any sense.

Is it a bug or an intended feature?

    Hello again,

We are not sure where and what you think that the issue is but we will try to help as best as we can.

So, individual employee settings override the service settings. And when you set Employee 1/5, Service 1/3, you can book up to 5 because you have set this up for your employee. This is not a bug it suppose to work in that way.

So as far as we can understand everything is working fine.

Also you can set that minimum capacity is 3 out 5 and when you enable this option

    2842315993.png

1 person can book but it will have pending status only when capacity is reached (3) all 3 of them will get approved status

If you turn this option off at least 3 person will need to book. That means 1 person must bring at least 2 persons with them.

    Hope this explains it.

Should you have any further inquiries, we kindly request that you open separate tickets for each question and we will gladly help you there.

We wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day ahead.
