We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
Hi,
I would like to know if when I do the integration with Google Calendar for booking appointments, if I have on my google calendar an event created directly from Google Calendar for 12:00 AM -1:00 PM for example, when I try to book it on Amelia for 12:00 AM - 1:00 PM can I still book it or does it give me the busy slot for that time?
I would like it to give me a busy slot.
Thanks
Hello Lorenzo,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
If Employee already has events in the Google calendar marked as busy, those will not be available for booking in Amelia – this will prevent overbooking. Rescheduling, canceling, or deleting the appointment needs to be done in Amelia. Suppose you reschedule the appointment in Google Calendar. In that case, that will not reflect in Amelia, but if you reschedule the appointment in Amelia, it will be updated in Google Calendar as well.
Please, find more information regarding the Google Calendar on this link.
I hope it helps.
Kind Regards,
Stefan Petrov

OK I understand that you cannot overbook, but understood between Amelia events.
Let's take a simple example:
I have an eveto I created in Google Calendar at 11:00 am - 12:00 am "My daughter's birthday".
If I have the account linked with this event, on the possible bookings with Amelia, is the 11 a.m. - 12 noon slot free because there is no Amelia event, or is it occupied because there is actually already an event on Google Calendar, even if not created with Amelia?
Thank you
Hello Lorenzo,
Apologies for the late answer. If you have a Google Calendar already linked with your employee, the event that you create in Google Calendar and mark as busy, it wont be available for booking in Amelia Booking form.
For example, here is an event in the Google Calendar marked as busy for the timeslot 1PM to 2PM
If you go to the booking form and select the employee and the service, there is no timeslot 1PM to 2PM offered
I hope it helps.
Kind Regards,
Stefan Petrov
