Just a heads up: We'll be taking a breather to celebrate International Workers' Day (May 1st and 2nd - Wednesday and Thursday) and Orthodox Easter from Good Friday (May 3rd) through Easter Monday (May 6th). So, from May 1st to May 6th, our team will be off enjoying some well-deserved downtime.

How to change company schedule starting from a given date

    Hi,

    The campany (and thus employee schedule) will be modified from July 1st onwards.

    Mondays and Tuesdays will be off, and on Thursdays afternoon the company will accept appointments, which is not the case now.

    I couldn't find a way to program these changes. And it has to be done ahead of time so that customers can book on the appropriate days and time slots before the change takes place.

    Is there a way to do that?

    Yes, this can be achieved by creating specials days (bare in mind that you can create special days for longer period of time not for just one day). You can read more about it on this link https://wpamelia.com/configuring-schedule/

    Or you can try the other way and that is that you set that your current employees are on vacation from July 1st and then you can create new emplyoee that are on vacation until July the 1st and then you just set their regular work hours and they will be available for booking form that day.

    So you need to use one of these 2 ways in order to achieve what you need.

    Hi Marko,

    Thanks for your reply.

    I tried setting up special days but the tool is too limited:

    • impossible to select specific days (like all Mondays)
    • impossible to define breaks during the day (like in the normal schedule)
    • impossible to manually select multiple days, only a continuous period of time is allowed

    Thus it is not possible to use this option to modify an employee/company working hours.

    I chose the second option, the drawback is that it forces to create a clone with another email, but that will do the trick and once the new schedule will be effective, I'll delete the former account to only keep the new one.
