I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to discuss a usability aspect of the WP Amelia booking system that has been a recurring issue for my customers.
During the appointment booking process, my clients typically select their desired time slot first and are then prompted to enter their personal details (name, surname, email, and phone number).
However, many encounter a roadblock at this stage. They trying to type account information and they receiving a notification that an account with their email already exists. This often leads to confusion and the unnecessary creation of duplicate accounts. Beacuse to not loose selected appoitmanet customers are creating a new account.
To enhance the user experience, I believe it would be highly beneficial if there were an integrated option allowing customers to either log in or create a new account without losing their selected appointment slot.
Could you please advise if such a feature is available, or if there are plans to implement this functionality in the near future? Any guidance on how to better streamline this process for my clients would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your time and assistance. I look forward to your response.
When they get this notice that means that they already booked with this mail but most likely under some other name. You have option called Check customer's name for existing email when booking in roles settings.
If you want to allow them to book with same mail but with different user name you can turn this option off.
If this does not suit your needs than we encourage you to kindly consider submitting this valuable suggestion as a feature request through the following link: https://features.wpamelia.com/. The prioritization of feature development is greatly influenced by the number of customer requests received. By participating and expressing your support, you contribute significantly to the potential expedited implementation of this feature.
Should you have any further inquiries, we kindly request that you open separate tickets for each question and we will gladly help you there.
We wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day ahead.
