I need help figuring out if its possible to make my website visitors make their own events without giving them admin for word press and using wordpress admin dashboard. Is there a frontend panel for creating event without needing to go to amelia plugin trough wordpress admin dashboard and clicking create new event?
By using the frontend customer panel, customers are only able to see or schedule/cancel their events/ appointments, but, by default, a user with the Customer user role doesn't have permission to create an event. This applies to both WP and the customer panel. Only a user with the admin user role can create an event.
You can find more information regarding the User Role permissions on this link.
Thank you for your reply. I went through the page on the link you sent me and I completely understand that only admin users can access the admin dashboard and create events there. But I was wondering if there is a way for website visitors to create events themselves without going to the admin panel. Or any way to make a button (for example) that a visitor can click to create an event and the button opens the create event window.
Better yet, let me explain why i ask this. I want my website visitors/customrers to be able to book an empty slot for event using step by step form on amelia and for the event that they booked to be created and shown on event list. Best solution would be (if possible) to make that work automaticly. Like when customer books an empty slot on step by step form for event to appear at the same time that they booked. Or for user to create their own event by themselves but it should also only be able to create in empty timeslots. Thank you.
Thanks for the additional information, but i have to disappoint you. That's a nice idea, but, the visitors/customers cannot create events or booking forms, since they are the customers and they can only book a place for an event or schedule an appointment. Also, please note that there are differences between the step-by-step and event list booking form. These two can't be used in combination. So, Step by Step is only for the appointments, while the Event list is only for the events.
You may configure the permissions of the users who are customers, but we don't recommend this since it's creating a conflict, and also this doesn't mean that the ordinary customer (anyone who is about to book an appointment) can create an event.
