Hello! I am using a Gravity Form to collect registrations for an upcoming event. I am using your product to create a Roll Call of all people registered for the event on the event page. I would very much like for people to be able to sort the Roll Call table by the Company name or by the attendee's Name. The Company sort works perfectly, but when I try to sort by Name, instead it is sorted by the order in which they submitted their registration form. I haven't been able to figure out why - can someone help me implement this?
Related: We have some South American members, and I created a Registration Form in Spanish for them. I would like to reflect everyone who signs up using either form on the Roll Call list. Is that possible?
1. When it comes to Sorting Issues, this is, unfortunately, one of the limitations we currently have, if you enable "Server-side processing" option on your Gravity Table.
As we pointed out here; and you can also see this in your Table back-end,
Searching and sorting with Server-side processing – After turning on server-side processing, sorting and search may start to behave unexpectedly. We plan to work with Gravity team to improve it in future versions.
If your Table has just two, three thousand Rows, you should be able to just disable the Server-Side processing and then all the sorting should work OK;
Can you try that, and let me know how it goes?
2. When it comes to combining multiple Gravity Forms as Source for One Table;
Sorry to disappoint you, but at the moment this is not possible.
We can only make one Table connected to one Form.
You can make a future development suggestion, but i honestly can't say a realistic ETA when or if that will be possible.
to see if someone may be already suggested this feature. If you can't see it, feel free to add your suggestion there, and as more people vote, the feature will move higher on the priority list.
You can certainly follow our changeLog page if you'd like ( it is also available in the plugin dashboard), where we state any changes/new features/bug fixes during updates;
and our newsletter, so you're informed about new features, bug fixes, freebies, etc.
Thanks, Miloš - I just assumed I had done something wrong as a relatively new user! I turned off server-side processing, and it is working perfectly now. And I thought it was too much to hope for to include data from two forms, but thought I would ask. Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.
