I’ve read the documentation, but cannot figure it out. I have enabled pay by link in general settings. I receive the notification that I should update my notifications. But where should I put the %payment_link_stripe% placeholder? And should I configure it first?
The site runs on Stripe Test mode so test away!
Hello Paweł,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
Here is how it works. After you enable the "payment from link" option in General settings, you need to make sure the the payment from link option is also enabled in the Service settings (for a particular service)
Then, in the notifications template, you need to put a placeholder for "payment from link". When you open the notifications tab, you can find various templates, "appointment approved" or "appointment pending" etc.
In the upper right corner, you will see "Show email placeholders"
In the list, you can find various placeholders for different payment method
In your case, you want to use the payment link for Stripe, so just copy / paste it into the template
Each time a customer books an appointment, depending on the default appointment status, the notification template will be sent with the text.
I hope it helps.
Kind Regards,
Stefan Petrov

Hi Stefan,
Thank you for your reply. But I think I need further assistance. Let me show you what I got.
I think I’m missing something. Where do I tell Amelia which product to use with Stripe? Or which payment link (if I have them prepared in Stripe)?

Hello Paweł,
Here is what you need to.
Since the "Allow payment via Payment Link" is enabled, you also need to make sure that this option is enabled in a particular Service option.
After this, you need to add the placeholder "%payment_link_stripe%" in the "appointment pending" notifications template, since the customer needs to pay for the service before it's approved.
In the payment option, when the Payment from link is enabled, you also have the option to select if the status is going to be automatically updated
Make sure that the default appointment status is set to pending, and when the customer books an appointment, the template will be sent with the link
If you click on it, it will send the customer to the checkout
Please, follow the steps, and it should be good. Let me know if it works.
Kind Regards,
Stefan Petrov
