I wish to add custom fields like age, name of participants (if a parent is booking for the children) to some of the recurring events.
But I am not able to do so because in listbox shows all the recurring events and does not allow me to select all the Reiki 1 course and Reiki 2 course. Please check the screen recording below:
Unfortunatelly, currently, this is not possible within Amelia. When creating a recurring event, Amelia is actually creating separate events, but when you are assigning custom fields, you can either assign them to all events (including the recurring events and all others) or assign them to each service separately. There is no option to create a "set" of recurring events and only assign custom fields to that "set".
Also, Amelia will not automatically assign the custom fields to new events, and you need to assign them accordingly.
I understand the current limitation in Amelia to add custom fields for recurring events.
Can you improve the naming of the options in the dropbox/listbox as shown above such that the list includes the event name + start date of the event. This will help us to select and edit the correct event to add the custom fields accordingly. As at now, it is not easy to know which event to edit or has already been edited, since all are appearing as same name "Reiki 1 course".
If we concatenate the event name + start date of the event instead of listing 43 "Reiki 1 class" for the year 2023, the list could be
Reiki 1 class - 2023-10-07
Reiki 1 class - 2023-10-18
Reiki 1 class - 2023-11-04
Reiki 1 class - 2023-11-16
Below is the list of current events (Reiki 1 class). We had 43 such event this year.
You are welcome. That's a great idea and it might be confusing indeed, but since you are creating the recurring event, Amelia actually just duplicates the name of the events and it's creating new events.
We are planning the complete Event feature redesign. Unfortunatelly, can't promise ETA at this moment, but feel free to suggest this on our page.
Should you have any other questions, feel free to reach out to us.

Please guide me how to add custom fields to events with one or more tags.
Thank you & kind regards
