As I read the article about using multiple languages in Amelia, I understand that you have Amelia already translated in multiple languages. The main language of my website is Dutch. The second language is English.
I use the plugin 'languages' to make my pages multi language.
In the General settings of Amelia, I also entered the language Dutch and English. After that I used the Language selector inside the Amelia Customise section for translating to Dutch. Finally I pressed the button 'Publish Form'. I guess that is needed to show the changes in the frontend ?
But when I View my Dutch page with the [ameliastepbooking] shortcode, It doesn't show the Dutch booking forms. With my above described steps, I had a working situation., since a few weeks. Could it be an update ? Do I really need the 'Loco translate' plugin?
The translation of the "days and months" on the Calendar for the Appointment time slots is based on a 3rd Party library,
which will automatically translate if you have the correct language locale set up on the WordPress page.
We have most languages covered - but in some rare situations, we find a new language that is still not added to this library.
In that case, our developers build the new language and add it during an update.
-
We will elaborate more on how it works :
For example, let's say we wanted to translate the day labels of the Calendar above Time slots to French.
If i change my site language to French, Amelia automatically "triggers the translated library" for the months and days in the Calendar to French :
Here is how it looks if i leave WordPress language in General WordPress settings as English
-
And now, if i change WordPress language to French :
-
If you just need one language, set it as the WordPress default language in General settings and this should work.
If you need a multilingual site with Amelia, you will have to set up different page versions for each language you need with the help of a multilingual plugin.
Thank you for replying. I will describe in more detail how I have it setup. Every page I have on my site, is double. One English and One Dutch version. The language selector in the page properties is also set accordingly. Then I have a button in a page. The link in the button refers to the Dutch or English version of a page where I only have the [ameliastepbooking] shortcode. In both cases only the English version is loaded. I also deleted and created a new page with the shortcode. That doesn't help either.
When I set the default language of the site to Dutch, Amelia is loaded in Dutch. But then the English version is not working.
I also have set the dual language in the general settings of Amelia.
As I see you have Dutch included in Amelia, there will be no need to use a separate plugin for translation, right ?
I only have a 'language' plugin for making my pages dual language.
Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.
You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.
Unfortunately, as this is not Amelia's feature, this is out of our scope of work, but please let me know if you were able to resolve this by recreating the page.

Hello Ardjoen,
The issue is that on the "Dutch" page, the locale language still shows English.
For this purpose, I would suggest that you reach out to your hosting provider and they should be able to assist you with this.
Please let me know if they were able to assist you.
Looking forward to your reply.
