Package Pricing

I am trying to create a discounted package of services when multiple bookings are wanted by the client. For example, I charge $80-$120 for a session depending on what employee is involved. The pricing in Amelia does adjust dynamically based on the selected employee when I book a single service. However, when allow for 5 bookings of the same service as a package at a discounted rate, Amelia does not seem to recognize the different cost of each employee in the calculated price. I can't use a custom price if I want to have the variation.

Am I possibly setting something incorrectly when I set up either the package, the services included or the employees available with the package? It seems like the only way I can currently get the correct pricing to display is to create a custom package for each employee with a different rate.

It's not making sense to me that I can't sell a package with a % discount off the calculated price derived from the number of services and which employee's rates apply. Hoping you can suggest a way to do this that I am missing. Thanks!

    Hello Dave,

I would like to sincerely apologize for the delayed response as we have been experiencing an unusually high number of tickets. I am sorry that it has taken longer than usual to respond to your concern and your patience is highly appreciated.

Basically, the price per employee will work when booking a single service, but, when creating a package, you have two options to select when it comes to the price. It can be a discounted or calculated price, as you may already know. If it is a discounted price, Amelia will display the price based on the parameters set, no matter the selection of the employee. If it is calculated, Amelia actually calculates the price based on the number of appointments for a certain service. For example, if the number of appointments for a service is 5 and the service price is 80 USD, it will calculate the price as 400 USD. This will be the final pricing, so it not calculating the price per employee as it would do in the single service selection.

I guess that workaround you've suggested will work as a temporary solution, but please feel free to search through our feature suggestion page,  to see if someone may have already suggested this feature. If you can't see it, feel free to add your suggestion there, and as more people vote, the feature will move higher on the priority list.

You can certainly follow our changeLog page if you'd like, where we state any changes/new features/bug fixes during updates and our newsletter, so you're informed about new features, bug fixes, freebies, etc.

Please, let us know if you have any other questions.

    Kind Regards,

Thank you, I have created the subscription and multi-booking options as services rather than packages and that seems to work.

I will have a look at the feature suggestion page and add this if it is not there. But to be transparent, I am very surprised the making it easy to discount a multiple session booking based on a calculated price for the employee offering the service is not a natural feature. It seems much more logical to me than an ability to discount a custom price which clearly could already reflect a saving. It seems that all the discount adds in effect is a bubble to show the % discount.

However, Amelia is mostly covering the needs of our client so thanks for this generally excellent plugin.

    Cheers!
