Hi, I am about to purchase and have started to set up the software. As soon as I can't resolve that after booking an appointment, the system does not send any email to the customer. Neither an invoice nor a welcome message. Only Amelia seblon messages are received which is not sufficient for either party.
My other problem is that already registered users in the checkout account cannot log in to their existing account.
If you have a solution for this I would like to use your system.
I look forward to your reply. Thank you very much.
What i would recommend is checking out our documentation regarding the notification setup. Here is the link.
Here we have everything explained in detail regarding the configuration.
When you say "checkout" account, do you mean the WooCoomerce checkout account? Since we only have a core integration with WooCoomerce, we would recommend contacting WooCoomerce support regarding this. My guess is that the user are not entering the credentials correctly, but i would double-check with the support.
Certainly, we do have a customer panel, where customers could log in after the booking, but judging by the title of this ticket, i suppose that the WooCoomerce is the issue.
I hope it helps. Please, let us know if you have any other questions.
Let's start again. Until Amelia was installed, woocommercehas been and is working flawlessly. At the moment I can't get the Amelia integration to work, as only the messages that can be specified in the software settings are going out. It's like overwriting the woo settings and disabling billing. One thing is accomplished, I can see the deposits.
I can log into customer portal, but there I can't access credit card details for example. It's as if there are two separate systems working that don't communicate with each other.
Most of the customer portal system, builds on top of woocommercere, but now it's like they have half disabled the base system. Can't the base software handle this?
I looked at what you sent, no problems with the SMTP settings. That's the trouble I described, and at the moment I dare not buy the software.
I found one on the net. What is it exactly? Amelia - Enterprise Level Appointment Booking WordPress Plugin 7.0
I would expect the system to provide the customer with the pdf invoice along with the booking, and to provide me with the complete booking description from the admin page.
Currently the checkout probably wants to log into the woocommerce customer account, not the Amelia customer portal, and that's not good.
I have looked at what you sent, but I have already made the settings in it.
In order to allow existing WordPress users to log both into WordPress (or WooCommerce, or some membership plugin) and Amelia using the same credentials, customers and employees in Amelia need to have "Amelia Customer" or "Amelia Employee" user role assigned to them.
If there's a created WordPress user, but they don't yet have anything purchased through Amelia, you need to enable "Automatically create Amelia Customer user" in Amelia Settings/Roles/Customer, and then - after they log into their WordPress user, once they land on Amelia's booking page, their details will already be populated, and once they purchase the appointment, they'll be added to Amelia/Customers; linked to the WordPress user, and they will be able to visit the Amelia Customer Panel without logging in (since they're already logged in as a WordPress user).
If you already created a user with "Amelia Customer" but they haven't purchased anything with Amelia yet, that user won't be linked to any customers you have in Amelia, so before they are able to log into Amelia's Customer Panel, they either need to book an appointment while they're logged into WordPress, WooCommerce, or a membership plugin, or you need to create a customer by going into Amelia/Customers/Add Customer. When you create a customer, link that customer to the WordPress user, and that's it. After that, they will be able to log in with the same password that's used for logging into WordPress.
Please note: If you change the password of the employee, or the customer through WordPress, the same password will apply to Amelia's Panels, but if you change the password through the Customer or the Employee Panel in Amelia, that password will not be applied to the WordPress user role. This is because Amelia doesn't require a WordPress user to be created in order to grant access to the panels - that is optional, and Amelia can't modify the password for WordPress users.
Regarding the pdf invoice, this should be sent automatically through the WooCoomerce when there is integration for each order.
I hope it helps. Please, let us know if you have any other questions.
Thank you for your reply, but the current issues were three days old. My observation is that your system is built on very complex logic and is not integrated into woocommerce as you would expect unfortunately. Not integrated, but alongside it. Why? In the meantime I have learned to use the software, thank you for your time.
Amelia is a standalone plugin and it does have its own complex logic. We are always working on improving it by listening to the user feedback. It may not be integrated into Woocommerce as you would expect, but we only using WooCoomerce as the payment method in order to provide flexibility for the end customers.
As previously stated, there is still room for improvement, but you can feel free to suggest any feature that you would like to see on our suggestion page.
In the meantime, feel free to reach out to us regarding any other questions or issues.
