I face a big loading and performance issue on all the sites Amelia is integrated (Step-by-Step Booking).
It takes seconds for the page to load and with the loading effect of Amelia also the text in the Menu/Navigation and in the content sections blinks (disappears and shows up again). This problem is linked to the loading effect of Amelia!
Do you have a solution to fix that?
As soon as I delete Amelia from the page, the loading and performance is really fast and clean.
This loading and performance issue seems to be a known topic, but I couldn't find any solution against it. Is there a possibility to force Amelia to load after the full page is loaded? Or any other optimisation which helps to get rid of this problem?
The delay caused by loading Amelia affects the whole page and this is so bad, that a lot of users will click away or don't trust the page anymore!
I hope you already have got a solution or will implement it in the next update.
Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue. Also. since your site is in coming soon mode please tell us on which pages you have placed Amelia.
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.
You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.
I'm terrible sorry – I think I caused the problem myself with the assumption that Amelia loads general web and system fonts like HELVETICA without any problems.
But if my assumption is right, I probably found the rout cause off the loading problem and the blinking text! I just did not upload HELVETICA onto my server and did link it with Amelia! I just thought that if you use a global font you don't need to do that!
I still have a slight problem while loading the pages, where Amelia is integrated and a short blink of the text included in the page and a slight performance drop, but not as bad anymore, since I uploaded the font onto my server and did set the link to the font (HELVETICA) inside Amelias 2-Step Booking form!
I just don't understand why the link can't be set internally and needs to be set in full (https://... )
It seems, that Amelia does the request for the font from the outside and not the inside, just because of this link setting. And if this is the case, it explains the still prevalent brief drop in performance, the charging problem and the flashing text.
I'll do further testing and if I've still got a problem, I'll come back to you.
In the meantime you can close the ticket.
And sorry again, if it really was the problem with the not uploaded Helvetica-font onto the server!

But; the loading of Amelia still takes a bit to long and the animation it uses for loading is causing a delay which isn't necessary! This part you really should improve ;)) Also the integration with optimisation tools such as WPRocket, PhastPress and so on should be optimised..
Keep on going and improving – you've got a good product to offer if it keeps evolving!
