When placing a test booking on the website, I receive notification for the booking confirmation and then an email with a link to Wordpress to set up a password.
I set up a password, and can log in to wordpress dashboard, but not the customer panel. The password that I set up is incorrect when trying to access the customer panel.
I thought that the link emailed to the password set up will take the customer to the customer front end panel, not the Wordpress panel.
In the notification settings a shortcode for the customer panel is added, but that specific email notification is not being sent. Only the email from WP itself.
I've searched a lot and I can't seem to find a solution for this or much info about it at all?
My goal is: The customer makes a booking - and then is taken to the customer panel to set up password or he gets an email - from our company email address with the link to set up the password on the customer panel.
Please if you could help me with this I would appreciate it.
Just disable the option “New user notification to the user” and you’ll be good.
Oh and btw in case you wanna know where the code is, you might wanna open up this file: wp-includes/pluggable.php Line number: 1989
So when you disable this through the 3rd party plugin, your customers will only receive notifications from Amelia, without the following email:
"Username: ———
To set your password, visit the following address"
I would suggest that you put the customer panel placeholder to the "Appointment approved" template and the customer will receive the link to log in when they book an appointment.
I've followed your recommendations and unfortunately had no luck.
1. Downloaded the Notification plugin to disable emails from WP with password set up.
2. Added customer panel shortcode to "Approved Appointment" notification.
No longer receiving emails from WP, but still not getting any links to set up a password on amelias customer panel. When I open the customer panel link it keeps loading and says I have no permission/rights to access this.
The Approved Appointment notification looks like this:
Dear %customer_full_name%,
You have successfully scheduled %service_name% appointment with %employee_full_name%. We are waiting you at %location_address% on %appointment_date_time%.
Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.
You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.
Just wanted to update you.. I think I've tried every way now.
1. I registered a customer manually, that still didn't let me access the customer panel.
2. Switched of "require password" setting to see if the email with the link to access the panel arrives, but no luck.
Every booking made is creating a customer in Amelia and WP, but there is no emails coming through with the links to set up a password or log in to the customer panel.
Hi there, so I've just tried booking an appointment using a private browser session, the email with booking confirmation arrives with the link to the customer panel. Once I click on the link it does take me to the customer panel but unfortunately I am still not able to access it , the customer panel keeps loading and on the right hand side of the page I get an error message saying "you are not allowed to access this page".
I'd also like to add, that even the Employee panel doesn't work... It doesn't let to log in, says Incorrect email or password.... - THIS IS SOLVED, didn't realise the admin was showing as customer. So the employee panel is working fine, but still have no idea how to fix the customer panel issue. thanks
Final Update: I finally figured out what was the issue.
Before I tell you my findings I need to say that I feel so stupid :)
Out of rush I have added a wrong short code. I had an employee panel short code added to the customer panel page and that's why things didn't work!
So, the customer panel is now working and this issue is solved. I do have other couple questions about the customer panel itself but I will open a new ticket for that.
Hi there.
I need some help with Customer Panel.
I have set up a page where the panel should be with a shortcode. My customer panel sits here: https://staging.pilatesvibes.co.uk/test-customer-panel/
Now, my problem is:
When placing a test booking on the website, I receive notification for the booking confirmation and then an email with a link to Wordpress to set up a password.
I set up a password, and can log in to wordpress dashboard, but not the customer panel. The password that I set up is incorrect when trying to access the customer panel.

Please if you could help me with this I would appreciate it.
I hope that helps.
Hello Andzelika,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
That's WordPress' default email for every new user. I don't know if you can disable it through WordPress settings, but I do know that you can do it with this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/manage-notification-emails/
Just disable the option “New user notification to the user” and you’ll be good.

Please let me know if that works for you.

It does automatically create a WP user with "Amelia Customer" label.
Even when I set up a password for the user it still doesn't let me to log in. Says invalid login details.
Hello Andzelika,
Thank you for the update on this.
Can you please update the plugin to the latest version (7.1), test it out, and let me know if it works or not?

Hi, I am on holiday so wasn't able to test it out earlier.
I have updated Amelia to the latest version and unfortunately I get the same error. I've attached a screenshot of the error.
Attached files: Screenshot 2023-11-17 at 12.42.03.png
I've tried many different ways:
1. Booking an appointment, receiving an email confirmation with the link to the customer panel
2. Manually creating Amelia Customer then setting up the password
3. Login with the created customer to WP and making a booking when logged in, still not able to access the customer panel.
4. Enabling WP New User Notifications to see if this could be a problem.
After all the tests above I am still not able to access the customer panel.
The only way to see the booked appointments as a customer is to login to WP itself - screenshot attached.

hi there, time is ticking and I really need this issue solved as soon as possible.
Do you have any update on this?
Thank you
Hello Andzelika,
Thank you for the update on this.
Can you please let me know if that customer has the same email as some admin user?
If that is the case, you should change the email of that customer and it will be resolved as it causes a conflict between roles and permissions.
Kind Regards,

Hello
I can confirm that I have used a different email from the admins email.
Hey. I have provided you the login details to WP, did you have a chance to check?
Have you tried booking an appointment yourself so you can see the issue?
Any update from your side?
Thank you
