    Hi there,

About a week ago we changed from summertime to wintertime (so no more daylight saving time) and we noticed something odd around that time.

When people booked an appointment before the shift for a date after the shift, then the confirmation mail would show the wrong time (an hour too late). The confirmation mail to the employee was showing the correct time.

In the confirmation mail to the customer we used the placeholder %appointment_date_time%. and in the one to the employee we used  %appointment_date% and %appointment_start_time% .

I can't really reproduce it now to investigate further, since we are now in the wintertime, but can it be that something is wrong with  the %appointment_date_time% placeholder when it comes to daylight saving time?

    Thanks in advance!

    Best regards,

    Laura Jacob

    Hello Laura,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Issues like this can occur if your WordPress site is set to be in a different time zone. Since Amelia doesn't have any time zone settings, it inherits the time zone from WordPress. If your time zone is in UTC+/- format, please change it by selecting the city near you. Also, please check if you enabled "Show bookings in customer's time zone" in Amelia's General settings.

If you are in a different time zone than your WordPress site is, and you've enabled this option, the times on front-end will show available time slots in your time zone, which will be the time you set in back-end +/- the time difference (depending on where you are in regards to the time zone set in WordPress' General settings).

    Hi Orus,

Thank you for your reply. I just checked and saw that the Wordpress timezone is set on a city (Amsterdam) and the setting "Show bookings in customer's time zone" is turned on.

The thing is that the client who booked the appointment ment to book her appointment at 10:45 (she manually put that in her own calendar as well), so while booking she picked the right time. But the confirmation mail showed her 11:45.

The confirmationmail to the employee did say 10:45.

Can it be something in the clients own time-settings maybe?

    Thanks in advance again!

    Hello Laura,

Thank you for the update on this.

Could it be that the time zone of your website and the time zone of the customer's computer are different as that would cause such issue?

    Looking forward to your reply.
