We're currently using The Events Calendar (and associated plug-ins) and running into limitations within it, but it looks like Amelia might address many of them.

    1) Do you have a demo of the Event Calendar view (with the more advanced filtering options?)? Lite version doesn't seem to support it.

    2) It appears the 'show in users TimeZone' option works, however I want to verify as support documentation around "Time Zone's" is light. Is it working? Is there any reason why the time zone isn't being displayed on the users view? (or in the event add screen in the back-end?)

    3) Zoom integration for Events - it's not clear to me what's available as most documentation seems to be more about appointments than events, but I see there's some kind of integration in there via the back-end demo for events. Ultimately what I need is to be able to provide Zoom call links to paid tickets at a minimum. I'd want to be able to enter the call link when I create the event, but  that link is hidden from the public listing, but provided in the confirmation email. Can this be done? Even better, if I connect Amelia to Zoom, when I create an event, can it create the meeting for it in zoom?

    4) Manual Event Registration - can people complete the process to attend an event, but not receive confirmation until I manually approve it? (The scenario here is we have Patreon supporters who should get certain events for free, and everyone else has to pay. I need a method when someone picks the $0 Patreon Ticket that they don't get the zoom call link until I've approved them. Is there some way to pull this off with Amelia's existing feature set?

    5) Cron Jobs for Reminders - I'm assuming Anacron would be supported instead of cron? - (this is something gandi, my hosting provider offers, they don't include the standard cron application) - https://docs.gandi.net/en/web_hosting/common_operations/anacron.html

    6) Understanding difference with Custom Fields and Customize (Forms) - Ultimately I want to use the Monthly Calendar (not the list). Regardless, it seems the Forms don't allow for the placement of custom fields (when I add a custom field in the backend demo, it shows in the event listing registration process, but not in the Event List Booking Form configuration under Customize). Is this an either or situation?

    7) "Resources" - I don't understand what this option for "Pro" refers to.

    8) Refund Option - I take it this one is an automated thing if a customer cancels an appointment (within the parameters to allow for a cancellation)? I assume I can still manually refund someone cancelling attendance at an event, and update their status (or remove them) from the event participant list?

    Thank You!

    Hello Taylor,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

    Please, find the answers below

    1) Do you have a demo of the Event Calendar view (with the more advanced filtering options?)? Lite version doesn't seem to support it.

You can check out this one. Currently, there is only an "old" version of the Event Calendar view, but we are planning on a complete redesign. Currently, there is no ETA at this moment, but you can follow the changelog page, to keep up with the updates.

    2) It appears the 'show in users TimeZone' option works, however I want to verify as support documentation around "Time Zone's" is light. Is it working? Is there any reason why the time zone isn't being displayed on the users view? (or in the event add screen in the back-end?)

Amelia doesn't have its own timezone settings and it inherits from WP settings. So, it's important to keep the WP timezone settings updated in order for the timeslots to be displayed correctly. In the booking form itself, in the date / time section, the user can see the timezone

You can find more information regarding the timezone in this article - Time Zones with Amelia

After the initial integration with Zoom, you have to add the placeholders for Zoom link in the appropriate notification template. In this way, when a customer books an appointment/event, he will receive the link where he can join Zoom. There is no option to enter the link since the link is only being created when an appointment/event is booked, and unless you haven't pasted the link anywhere else, it will be only visible in the notifications template and in the customer/employee panel.

In case you haven't checked it yet, on this link you can find documentation regarding Zoom integration.

There are two types of event status that you have, pending and approved. In both cases, you can choose which notification template is going to be sent. For example, if the default status is pending, then the customer will receive the pending status notification first, and another one, after the appointment is approved. If you disable the pending notification, the customer shouldn't receive this email and also if the placeholder for the Zoom link is in the approved notification template only, then the Zoom link should be rendered only when the appointment is approved.

    5) Cron Jobs for Reminders - I'm assuming Anacron would be supported instead of cron? - (this is something gandi, my hosting provider offers, they don't include the standard cron application) - https://docs.gandi.net/en/web_hosting/common_operations/anacron.html

We recommend using the Crontrol plugin for scheduling notifications, but we cant guarantee the "Anacron" will work, since we are not familiar with it. Here is the short instruction regarding CronJob

cron is a Linux utility which schedules a command or script on your server to run automatically at a specified time and date. A cron job is the scheduled task itself. Cron jobs can be very useful to automate repetitive tasks like in our plugin for notifications.

Depending on the server, there are different configurations for it, which you can contact your hosting provider about, or you can check out one of the solutions for it on this link.

    Also, you can try this:

    */15 * * * * wget -q -O - "https://www.yourwebsite.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=wpamelia_api&call=/notifications/scheduled/send"

    Or this:

    */15 * * * * /usr/local/bin/php ~/public_html/wp-cron.php --action='wpamelia_api' --call='/notifications/scheduled/send'

    Or this:

    GET 'https://yourdomain.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=wpamelia_api&call=/notifications/scheduled/send' > /dev/null

Here you can find more details about WP Crontrol plugin. You can find more info about it, and detailed instructions on how to set it up in our FAQ section.

The Custom Fields feature gives you the option to add more fields to your booking form so as to customize it to best match your business needs. The customer’s first and last name, email address, and phone number are there by default, but with the Custom Fields feature you can add extra fields if you want to ask a customer a question, collect additional personal details, or for any other reason.
For appointments, these fields will appear on the Booking form under the default fields, and once your customer fills them this information will be shown in the appointment information on the back-end.

The Customize forms are not related to the Custom fields in terms of showing the custom fields in the backend. The Customize section is a place where all booking forms are placed, in order for easier manipulation. Here you can customize other stuff like colors, labels, options etc.

    7) "Resources" - I don't understand what this option for "Pro" refers to.

The resources feature is made to give you the option to make a configuration when there is a scenario, for example, have a Barbershop and you have 3 available chairs, but there are 6 barbers (employees) your customers can book. In the past, you couldn’t configure Amelia properly for this case, but  Resource Bookings allows you to do just this. The "Pro" part is related to the fact that this option is only available for Pro and Developers licences owners.

    8) Refund Option - I take it this one is an automated thing if a customer cancels an appointment (within the parameters to allow for a cancellation)? I assume I can still manually refund someone cancelling attendance at an event, and update their status (or remove them) from the event participant list?

The Refund option is made to give the option to manually refund the amount to the customers used for booking an appointment/event. The refund feature is also only available for Pro and Developers licence owners.

This is located in the Finance tab, where you have all the appointments with the payment statuses.

I can conclude that you've already checked out our demos, you can buy our license and try Amelia out. We offer a 15-day money-back guarantee, and in that period of time, you test everything and see if Amelia fits your needs.

I tried to be as detailed as I can, but if you have any other any other questions, feel free to ask.

    Kind Regards,
