Hey there, Awesome Customers!

Just a heads up: We'll be taking a breather to celebrate International Workers' Day (May 1st and 2nd - Wednesday and Thursday) and Orthodox Easter from Good Friday (May 3rd) through Easter Monday (May 6th). So, from May 1st to May 6th, our team will be off enjoying some well-deserved downtime.

During this time, our customer support will be running on a smaller crew, but don't worry! We'll still be around to help with any urgent matters, though it might take us a bit longer than usual to get back to you.

We'll be back in action at full throttle on May 7th (Tuesday), ready to tackle your questions and requests with gusto!

In the meantime, you can explore our documentation for Amelia and wpDataTables. You'll find loads of helpful resources, including articles and handy video tutorials on YouTube (Amelia's YouTube Channel and wpDataTables' YouTube Channel). These gems might just have the answers you're looking for while we're kicking back.

Thanks a bunch for your understanding and support!

Catch you on the flip side!

Warm regards,

TMS

    Thank you for taking the time to answer these questions. Your documentation is very extensive and clear, but I am unable to find the exact examples that I am looking for. I would like to know if the following features are possible:

    1. Creating a single table that has two distinct datasets. In the example URL, you can see the top 20 listed and then the bottom 20 listed on a table next to it. Both of these tables are actually one table controlled by the same view filters.

    2. Is it possible to create inline sparklines in the columns? For example, a small line chart that is popular in stock dashboard tables.

    Hi Ramon,

    Firstly, I would like to sincerely apologize for the delayed response as we have been experiencing an unusually high number of tickets. I am sorry that it has taken longer than usual to respond to your concern and your patience is highly appreciated.

    -

    1. I am sorry to disappoint you, but it is not possible to have same Filters set above the Table which will control the filtering for Two Tables at the same time.

    Each table can only have its own filters, so it's now possible to have one( or more) filter to be applied on two Tables like that.

    -

    It is an interesting idea, though, so you can make a development suggestion.

    Please feel free to search on our suggestions page

     to see if someone may be already suggested this feature. If you can't see it, feel free to add your suggestion there,  and as more people vote, the feature will move higher on the priority list.

    You can certainly follow our changeLog page if you'd like ( it is also available in the plugin dashboard), where we state any changes/new features/bug fixes during updates;

    and our newsletter, so you're informed about new features, bug fixes, freebies, etc.

    -

    At the moment, the only way to have the same filter apply to multiple tables on same Page,

    can be through our URL Pre-Filter, which allows you to pass a parameter through the Page URL which can look up for one or more fields and filter by a value, or value range;

    Please check more here with examples how you can use it.

    But the URL pre-filter can only work if you have same Column Name or index number in both Tables, but then the same value for filtering is applied to both;

    We can not pass one filter as  "Table 1" and filter something else in "Table 2".

    You can also make a development suggestion for something like that.

    -

    If you have coding skills and wish to try to make a custom solution now,

    you can check out our available hooks for Developers on this documentation and see if you can find any hook that might help.

    Please be advised that custom solutions with hooks are not included in our support.

    You can also research resources such as Stack Overflow to see if any other user perhaps found a workaround.

    ( We do like to give examples for certain solutions, but for this use-case, we, unfortunately, don't have anything yet)

    2. In regards to creating inline sparklines/ as a chart in each row as you shown on the screenshot :

    4064872625.png

    You will be able to insert Charts in our Table cells, so i believe you should be able to achieve this.

    If you create individual Charts for each of these "stocks/ cryptocurrencies", and insert each Chart Shortcode inside a String Column, it should work.

    -

    Charts can be implemented as part of the cells in our tables as chart shortcodes, just enable this option in your Main Plugin settings/ Parse shortcodes.

    Just note that there is an issue for implementing shortcodes in cells if we enable server-side processing feature.

    -

    Or in other words, for Manual Tables type it is not possible to implement charts in cells;

    for  SQL Tables it will work only if you disable server-side processing;

    and it will work for all other table types, such as Simple tables,  linked to data source tables ( Excel, CSV, Google spreadsheets, etc), for them there is no issue like that.

    -

    You can check out all the available chart engines and examples of wpDataCharts documentation here .

    -

    And i just wanted to point out that you can try wpDataTables before purchasing

     on our sandbox Demo sites ( you can find links for the main plugin Demo,

    as well as add-on Demos, in my signature),

    and there is a 15-day money-back guarantee period,

    so if you purchase the plugin, you can safely fully test it out, and if it doesn't fit your needs you can request and receive a refund in that period. ( same goes for all plugins and add-ons)

    Let me know if you have any additional questions. smile.png
