I want to know if there is an option to set an expiration date in appointment that customers have pending in their account.
Example:
Customer bought a package of 5 appointments. I want to set that if he wont make the appointments in 1 year, this appointments will get removed from his account without possibility to use them.
You can set the package duration when making a package, but the duration you set is for the package while the appointments within a package are defined by the "Period available for booking" in Amelia's General Settings or individual settings of a service. So, if you sell a package with 10 appointments, and set the duration of the package to be 1 year, your customers will have 1 year to book those 10 appointments.
However, the appointments within a package can be booked as far ahead as you configured the "Period available for booking in advance" in Amelia's General Settings, or individual service setting. For example, if this is set to 30 days, at the time when an appointment is being booked, the customers will be able to choose the dates 30 days from TODAY. Defining the duration of the package doesn't define the availability of appointments.
I hope it helps. Please, let us know if you have any other questions.
Here is how it works. If you set the "period available for booking in advance" to 30 days, then the customer would be able to book in the next 30 days. So, this is counting from the present day, if today is Oct 20 then they will be able to book until Nov 20. If the duration of the package is 1 year, then the customers will have 1 year to book those appointments, after 1 year there will be no possibility to book the existing appointments.
Also, changes that you make regarding the duration or services will not be applied to the existing packages, only to new ones.
I hope it helps. Please, let us know if you have any other questions.
Ok this I understand. What I need to know is, if the client will have the possibility to place his appointment until the last day of his duration of the package.
I understand Yes because the "period available for booking in advance" is only applying about how early a customer can make appointment. So continuing with your example (period available for booking in advance=30 days and package duration= 1 year):
Today Oct 20 customer buy a package: on 1st of Oct 2024, will he be able to place an appointment for 19th of oct 2024?
If I understood it good: Yes Am I right?
Another question:
- Can I manually apply the package duration to a packages that are already purchased?
I would like to sincerely apologize for the delayed response as we have been experiencing an unusually high number of tickets. I am sorry that it has taken longer than usual to respond to your concern and your patience is highly appreciated.
Yes, that's correct. Regarding the changes to already purchased packages, unfortunately, that is not possible. All changes made will be only applied to the booked packages.
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
