we want to get better overview on our bookings and sales. We use packages to sell consulting hour contingents, e.g. 3x 60 min or 5x 60 min.
Therefor we want to have insights around:
- number of packages sold and which packages - which customer bought which packages - how many appointment slots per packages have been booked / used (also specifically per customer) - which employee sells how much packages … and many more I assume, will come to mind when we can start to work more with reports.
We noticed some information we can get from different areas of Amelia like: finance section, appointment section, within services > packages > infos of the specific package, customers section…
But we are missing like a central reporting section within Amelia, or did we overlook?
If there is no reporting area that meets our requirements, is there a way to stream data of amelia into tools like Google Looker Studio for example? Or just export relevant data into csv? Best automatically or via cronjob so we can import into an external dashboard software.
I'm afraid that we didn't quite get what you want to achieve exactly? Can you explain to us in a little more detail, and send us a couple of screenshots?
- which customer bought which packages and how many appointment slots within the packge have been used already
As I said, we use packages to sell multiple consultation appointments. It's kind of the same scenario that describe in the documentation:
https://wpamelia.com/packages/
"Number of appointments" is the option that you can use to set the number of appointments that will be included in this package for the chosen service. For example, if you have a Yoga class and you want to create a package of 12 yoga classes that will last 30 days, you will choose just one service in the dropdown and choose 12 in the "Number of Appointments" option. You can, of course, choose multiple different services and set this number of appointments for each. Please note that this option is automatically disabled if you enable the "Total Number of Appointments" option.
We know that we could navigate to services --> packages --> click into the right package and look for customer details, like in this screen shot
But this is not going to work for us, as we currently offer
12 service catgories 2 services per category 3 package sizes per service
This means we have 12 x 2 x 3 active packages (that all have nearly the same names), look at this screen shot:
This complex structure is also a result because Amelia does not seem to provide a way to simplify it, we asked for advice on that already: https://tmsplugins.ticksy.com/ticket/3220771/
We are not able to trial and error click into all packages to aggregate data on our main questions.
- which customer bought which packages and how many appointment slots within the package have been booked already (and how many bookings are therefor still open to book)
And again we also need for reporting reasons answers to these questions:
- number of packages sold and which packages have been sold - which employee sells how much packages
Is there a way, we can get this information within Amelia?
Alternatively, is there a way to export (raw) data from Amelia in order to create reports in external tools like Google Looker Studio?
Unfortunately, currently, this feature is not built-in in Amelia. At this time you can only check for this in the way you already mentioned. In services-packages and then to check each package. In your specific case it is a lot manual work but unfortunately this is the only way at this time and we this will not be changed any time soon as far as we know.
In light of this, we encourage you to kindly consider submitting this valuable suggestion as a feature request through the following link: https://features.wpamelia.com/. The prioritization of feature development is greatly influenced by the number of customer requests received. By participating and expressing your support, you contribute significantly to the potential expedited implementation of this feature.
Should you have any further inquiries, we kindly request that you open separate tickets for each question and we will gladly help you there.
this is very disappointing… we consider this a core functionality. When you sell packages you also need to know which customer bought which packages and how many appointment slots within the packge have been used already. Without manually aggregating data and looking for it via trial and error.
I did place the feature request but it actually seems like the whole package topic is not well thought from beginning to end. Too bad.
