Can you help me to see if AMELIA can be used to handle "volunteers" for events? and the department of where they would volunteer as a "non-public" service.
I'm afraid that we didn't quite get what you want to achieve exactly? Can you explain to us in a little more detail, and send us a couple of screenshots?
I can try to further explain the use model. I cannot provide screenshots because I am not sure how to do it..
I have a client who is a NGO and they do retreats. In those retreats I know I can use EVENTS in Amelia to schedule and for attendee bookings. Each Event will require at least 7 volunteers in a team. we would like to break up the volunteers into ROLES in the event. (i.e. host, usher, facilitator, kitchen, etc). I know by description alone it does not match, however can we use AMELIA to accomplish this using Employees as the volunteers (obvious translation) but then use NON-Public services attached to the employee to know what function they fit in? i.e. create a service called "usher" with no pricing and assign to Employee Joe. Then assign Joe who has usher as the service he provides added to the event and block out his time during the event on the calendar.
No, this will can be decided internally not within Amelia. So services and events are separate features and it doe not matter on which service they work when they are added to an event. You need to add volunteers as employees but any other role and assignment must be done internally.
When they are added to an event those times will be blocked and added to their calendar if you have connected them to a calendar in employee modal.
So you can add employees to the event but you can not assign them any roles or services for events. This must be done internally.
Should you have any further inquiries, we kindly request that you open separate tickets for each question and we will gladly help you there.

Hello Marc,

We wish you all the best.
