When I select Approved Status in the Appointments dashboard, only the first appointment status I mark as Approved actually sends email notifications to admin and the user/syncs with calendars. This is very frustrating, as we have to manually chase up with the users who do not receive their notifications from Amelia. It would be good if - at the very least - you had the option to resend notifications to users within the plugin. Please advise. Thanks, Matt
It seems like this could be an issue with the notifications. Are you using the SMTP settings? Please, refer to our documentation regarding the notification setup.
We strongly recommend changing mail service setting to SMTP or Mailgun because email that is sent with PHP Mail generally gets flagged as spam by mail servers and also can take some time to send. See below how to configure SMTP and Mailgun mail services.
An issue with email notifications could also be caused by several reasons:
Your hosting provider is blocking all 3rd party settings and only allowing their SMTP (or other) settings.
Your website has a PHP version of less than 7.
The credentials are not correct.
There's something else blocking the notifications from being sent.
If you're using Gmail, please check out this article for detailed setup instructions.
I took the liberty to log in to your WP by using the credentials previously provided. I wanted to test the notifications, but as soon as i enter the employee settings, I'm greeted with this error
This is related to Zoom settings. If i go to the Zoom settings, I can see the error
The JWT app is deprecated, and Zoom is not using new technology Server to Server OAuth. We recommend checking out out documentation where we explained how to integrate Zoom with Amelia using the new OAuth.
When this is fixed, we can continue troubleshooting the issue with the notifications.
Thanks for the credentials. So, there are no errors anymore, I've run the notification test.
I've made a test customer with my email address. I've booked two appointments with the pending status. As soon as i click on approve, i receive both notifications (for both appointments)
Not sure if i understand it right regarding confirming each one at the same time. As soon as you make two appointments, they will be separated, I already tested in by clicking on the other appointment right after the first one, or i am missing something?
So, i've added my email address in the field "send all emails to the additional address" and I've tested again. I can see all the notifications, first pending ones, then when approved, and also all of these as an admin.
I guess there could be an issue with your email probably?

Hi Stefan,
All my smtp etc settings are fine. I've been with you guys for years now, and this has never been a problem.
It is causing real issues to us as notifications are central to our customers knowing about their appointments.
To re-iterate - only the first appointment status I mark as Approved actually sends email notifications to admin and the user/syncs with calendars.
It might be due to a recent update on your side.
Please advise asap.
You guys need to improve your notifications a lot.
Thanks,
Matt

Hi Stefan, apologies for the delay. I removed Zoom, so the error should not persist. Please advise on the notifications error. Kind regards, Matt
