    I have created 2 employees that are both essentially ME as I offer appointments both in person and online.

    I understood this was the only way to create multiple locations.

    I now have the issue where if an appointment is booked at 

    10am with Shelana 1 at location 1 

    the appointment space is still available for 

    10am with Shelana 2 at location 2

    how can i rectify this so that when an appointment slot has been taken it effects both locations???

    Hello Shelana,

    Thanks for reaching out to us and sorry for the late reply.

    You can do this with one employee since there is an option to assign multiple locations to one employee. When you go to the employee settings, under the Work Hours option, when you expand the section, you have the option to select one or more locations (depending on how many you have)

    So, if you assign one employee to work on all services and all locations, and for example, the customer books an appointment for 10 AM on Location 1, Location 2 will not be available for the same time slot, since the employee is already working on Location 1.

    Thank you for this response..

    however 1 of my services is only available at Location 1.

    If i do this option of one employee at both locations, how can i set it so that the 1 service is ONLY available at Location 1?

    Hello Shelana,

    Let me explain what's possible to set up when it comes to the locations and employees. As you already know, the first option is to have two employees at two different locations, but there is a fact that the other employee is available no matter if the first employee is booked.

    The second option is to have one employee assigned to both locations and all services, but, there is a possibility to "narrow" down the schedule. For example, if you need to have a scenario where the time slot will be available only during certain times or days, you can define the time slots as per day or service or location.

    Let's say that you have one employee. You can assign that employee to work on Monday from 08 AM - 10 AM on Location 1 on Service 1, but the same employee can work on the same Monday from 10 AM - 11 AM but on Location 2 and Service 2, like this -

    This can applied to all days, but we suppose that you need the availability for the whole day.

    There is a trick that can be useful. You can create a "fake" employee. If you use Google or Outlook for emails there is a workaround. You can put the same email just place +number before @ and you will be able to save employees but all emails will go to the same email address.

    For example, [email protected], [email protected], [email protected] etc, will be different while saving and you will be able to save all employees but all emails will go to the [email protected] address.

    Essentially, you will get two employees again with different schedules but the trick is to assign them both to the same Google Calendar where the busy slots option is enabled and Amelia will recognize it.

    Hello Stefan 

    Thank you for giving me this solution it really helped to ensure that the appointment time was no longer available to avoid overbooking.

    Although in the calendar the dates are not shaded in colour to show the date has less availability, is this something that can be fixed?

    This is not a big issue, i am grateful to finally have some solution.

    Hello Shelana,

    You are welcome. Well, by default, it should show the slots in different color, representing the availability, there is no option to turn on/off this. This can be due to the conflict between Amelia and caching plugins, i suppose.

    Can you please change the theme and see if the issue is resolved? If not, then please deactivate all other plugins except for our plugin, refresh the page where the issue is, and see if it is resolved (it should be). If it is, then start activating other plugins one by one, and after each activation refresh the page to see if the issue reoccurred.
