1. In regards to server-side versus non servers-side,

when it comes to opening images in a New Tab, we are not able to reproduce that behaviour.

For us, by default it opens the image in a new Tab with or without Server-Side.

2. In regards to when we got the Editing active,

yes - in that case, you can not click in images to open a larger version.

This is one of the current Limitations for images that we have.

3. Another important Note,

if you wish to try to use a LightBox Plugin to have a LightBox behaviour for images,

this is not possible with server-side processing.

We pointed out these limitations on this documentation.

For the moment, it is like that, if you wish to see an improvement, you can make a development suggestion for us.

My apology, i wanted to add something for the issue #1.

We are not able to reproduce it, so it is not a bug,

but of course, we still wish to help to see why this happens on your Website.

Can you please check if it might be a conflict?

Issues like this usually occur when there is a conflict either with the theme currently active on your website, or another plugin you have installed.

Can you please change the theme and see if the issue is resolved?

If not, then please deactivate all other plugins except for our plugin, refresh the page where the issue is, and see if it is resolved (it should be).

 If it is, then start activating other plugins one by one, and after each activation refresh the page to see if the issue occurred. 

Once it does reoccur, you will have found the plugin causing the issue.
