Hey there, Awesome Customers!

Just a heads up: We'll be taking a breather to celebrate International Workers' Day (May 1st and 2nd - Wednesday and Thursday) and Orthodox Easter from Good Friday (May 3rd) through Easter Monday (May 6th). So, from May 1st to May 6th, our team will be off enjoying some well-deserved downtime.

During this time, our customer support will be running on a smaller crew, but don't worry! We'll still be around to help with any urgent matters, though it might take us a bit longer than usual to get back to you.

We'll be back in action at full throttle on May 7th (Tuesday), ready to tackle your questions and requests with gusto!

In the meantime, you can explore our documentation for Amelia and wpDataTables. You'll find loads of helpful resources, including articles and handy video tutorials on YouTube (Amelia's YouTube Channel and wpDataTables' YouTube Channel). These gems might just have the answers you're looking for while we're kicking back.

Thanks a bunch for your understanding and support!

Catch you on the flip side!

Warm regards,

TMS

Uploading data for existing users on the backend

    Hello

    I have a situation where I want to create a set of 50 users to be able to access the tables on the front end.

    The issue is, I want to upload the data for all 50 users myself on the backend and link each user's data to their usernames.

    How could I achieve this?

    Hi Desi,

    We do not have an automated way to achieve what you described, in terms of linking each username with their rows.

    For example, if you wanted to make an editable table,

    and have a field that will auto-populate rows for each username that is currently logged in;

    In this case, we have a solution to predefine the editing field with the %CURRENT_USER_LOGIN% Placeholder

    – this placeholder will be replaced with the currently logged-in username (if the user is logged in).

    Then each new row some logged user adds,

    this field would populate their username.

    -

    But if you need to populate it for them from the back-end,

    and to avoid having to go in each row and populate the right username for each person's rows,

    we do not have an easy solution from our Plugin's end to achieve that.

    -

    You can only try to perhaps make a Spreadsheet like Excel, CSV or Google Sheet,

    and see if you can somehow find an easy way to fill out the source data data there;

    Maybe if you can find a Formula for a Google Sheet that could do this,

    to somehow quickly populate many rows for specific value,

    because in our Plugin you can import data from a Google Sheet with Formulas;

    You just need to follow this Guide here - to make a new/empty tab in that Sheet and use the !importrange in order to pass those values.

    Then you can import the data from that Google Sheet in an existing Manual Table,

    or make a new Manual Table.

    -

    In our Plugin, for quicker Editing, you can only try our Excel-Like Editor,

    with that Table View, you will be able to choose multiple cells at the same time,

    and copy+paste values like that.

    I hope that might help.

    If you have an idea of a better way for a feature/option how we could develop in the future for this use-case,

    Please feel free to search on our suggestions page

     to see if someone may be already suggested this feature. If you can't see it, feel free to add your suggestion there,  and as more people vote, the feature will move higher on the priority list.

    You can certainly follow our changeLog page if you'd like ( it is also available in the plugin dashboard), where we state any changes/new features/bug fixes during updates;

    and our newsletter, so you're informed about new features, bug fixes, freebies, etc.

    Kind Regards,
